After seeing the release of the crystallite minions in Coda Cave I was struck by the need for a crystal based pet color. I mean look at them, wouldn't this translate into some gorgeous pets?

I knew someone would suggest this eventually. :P

I'm actually all for it. I didn't know I needed this in my life until today, but these minions are beautiful, especially the first four you have listed.

Which of the color scheme would be the best?

I like the idea, but I'm more into colors that have one cohesive color scheme, over things like Nostalgic, which are all over the place.

- Good question. I don't think I'd mind if they picked colors at random for each pet, but I can see why people wouldn't like that. I'd probably be disappointed if my favorite pet came out in yellow. D:

What if they did it based on the pet's common color? So a tigrean would be red and a torrent would be yellow. It would still be inconsistent, but there would be some sense to it.

But then you have all the brown pets (priggle, serpenth, velosotor, etc.) Do we use brown for their crystal color, or would that ruin it because there's not a Brown Coda Caves Crystal (and because a brown crystal might look gross)?

I like that alternative, that's a good idea.

(even if my favorite pets would probably all be brown. Irions, Jollins, Ontras and Montres are all brown in their common color)

(HI LIZ.) I'd totally throw my support for this! Crystalline pets would be cool.

I prefer the colors on the Peaceful, Serene, and Ephemeral Crystallites. :o So if Crystalline pets were one color scheme, I'd want one of those or similar. Or maybe a mix of three. Or at the very least, I hope a pet I like/have gets one of those colors or similar xD picky

- Actually, the Coda Caves map has a pretty unified color scheme that could work if you wanted to use the same thing for every pet:

I'd love to see red or orange crystals, but I'd settle for this.

I feel like this was either suggested before, or I mentioned it on a suggestion thread (I think it was for stone pets though).

Either way, I TOTALLY SUPPORT THIS. I would LOVE stone/crystal pets like the minions, or like the Saheric Plot Sliding Game pieces. LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES SHINE

I think either the unified color scheme from the caves or basing the gem colors on the common colors would be grand!

Also, brown crystals can be quite good looking.

I like the suggestion of them being the basic colors, personally.

Reminds me of the unlockable skins in Knack. I like the idea of crystallite pets, it would be cool. I don't care what color they are.

I would love to see this as a pet colour. I wouldn't mind different colours of gems (well, crystals) on each pet. I really like the two toned minions, so why not for pets ?

this could be super pretty, and i love the thought of using the color scheme of the caves themselves (blues and greens with some purples). imagine how gorgeous this could look on pets that already have gems/crystals in their design (legeica, celinox, mahar)...
