I'm wondering why we don't have a fairy color on Subeta.... Fairy is one of my favorite pet site colors overall (Neopets, etc) Angelic is pretty nice though, so if it's too similar to Fairy I can live with that. What do you guys think?

I honestly think it'd be too close to Angelic. And on Neopets, the only real change with the color is the addition of wings. Yeah many ended up with a pastel color, but some didn't have a major color change like the Usul or Xweetok.

Mmm, wouldn't that be like a mix of angelic and glade? How would you turn a magical creature into a pet color? Just wings is angelic, just forest is glade. Maybe as a species, but they don't suited for pets. Personally, I always chose Glade for my fairies.

On Neopets it's just purple + wings. Granted, the old ones looked awesome, but it really doesn't matter for Subeta and shouldn't constantly be brought up for comparison.

Nah...too much like Neo. Besides, Subeta's unique and shouldn't have similar colours. Glade is very much like a fairy colour. Just find some pretty wings to attach to a pet and make it into an overlay.

Fairies are not cutesy and nice like Glade and Angelic are, though.

If we stick to actual fae lore, and not the dumb Disney lore, I'm all for it.

Honestly I don't think a fairy color needs to be pastel? Why not have something with dark vibrant colors, or something with high contrast?

Fairy/Faerie never really appealed to me on Neopets, so I'm not sure I want to see it brought to Subeta. At least not if it has any similarities to Neo's version (butterfly wings, bright pastels, etc.)

I do love the shape of the tailed moth wings posted, but I'd be satisfied if they were worked into the Illumis' eventual revamp or something.

I liked maraquan better, let's get that instead :)

Am I the only one that associates the Galactic pets most closely with fairy pets? Possibly because they're created by the space gypsy/fairies, but I've always thought of them as space fairy-ish things.

That being said, 's suggestion of what a fairy could be sounds fantastic... but I'd want to take it a step further. There have kind of been little things added in through items that have helped with site lore, like the Sand Spirit items. So there has been work towards a more cohesive and rich background of Subeta and I think a new pet color would be a great way to do it.

We've had incredible detail, thought, and uniqueness placed on the Nostalgic color and I'd want that for this color. I'd personally have them called Fabled pets and with each release of a Fabled pet there would be a subsequent SubetaPedia article explaining the origin and nature of the creature that the pet is based off of. It's been proven multiple times that there are monsters and other creatures on Subeta besides the pets we can adopt and the human avatars that reside there. I'd love to here about all of them, even if some of them are extinct and we can only see them in the form of a transformed pet.

So basically it's my generic answer that fits any post in S&I, "Yes, if it adds to the lore." I don't care if pets are based off of real life fae/faeries/fables/whatever, but ultimately I think it'd be a great opportunity to flesh out more of the site.

I think it's a decent idea overall, as long as they make them different enough from what we already have.

I think a fairy pet color could be interesting! Definitely different than Neo's color, for sure, but Neo and Subeta already have similar colors - Woodland and glade, baby and chibi, etc, etc, so it doesn't matter to me that it's similar to another Neo color.

They could be similar to these challengers: Odontos and Fuyaira

I quite like this style, a lot, especially the color scheme. There may be some similarities to angelic, but I think they have enough uniqueness to become a color. Plus their expressions would be a bit less "angelic". haha if fairy became a color like this, they could use the same color scheme for all species like the common colors. And it would be awesome if they came from the Sacred Lands!

Wow that's one color scheme that's way too close to glacier (the're white with blue accents) and some angelics (not all, but some are light blue)

I agree about the similar tones of glacier, however, with as many colors out there as it is, it can be quite difficult not to have some similarities in colors. Take blacklight and spectrum, for example, can you say darkmatter or sweetheart or nuclear are too similar to them because they share colors? How about graveyard, glade, and field? Reborn and sun? Sweetheart and dawn? Not really much to complain about generally because they have different stances/styles/expressions/details.

Also, another thing I thought about was the fact that say you want bright bold pinks and yellows or something (not saying you want these specifically), maybe I want green and gray... Its kind of tough for the artist to please everyone, so maybe they'll choose color schemes that are more "neutral" so that it somewhat pleases the majority of players to an extent, if not all. Fairy makes me think of earthy tones, but maybe to someone else, they think of fluorescent colors. But all in all, the artist would be making the decision. They could go left, or right, still. I am just stating the different aspects I can think of. I am not good at arguing/explaining things xD (not that I am arguing, I hope it doesn't seem that way)

The thing is, the entire palette is near identical of what is used for Glacier. Not just one or two colors!

The main color is close to glacier, and so are the accents. Colorwise, it brings out nothing unique, it's already a palette that we can get in one color, and part of angelic.

Blacklight and Dark Matter have different accents. Blacklight has rainbows, while Dark Matter has purple auras. While both are black, the accents are different! Same with Nuclear! When I think Black with oozing green, I don't hesitate between nuclear and dark matter - I know we're talking about dark matter!

Spectrum and Sweetheart are nowhere near the same palette. Sun is orange, while Reborn is vermillion. Graveyard is a completely different shade of green from field and glade, it's actually closer to marsh's accent color.

Glade and Field are too similar palette-wise, which is one of my peeves with Field, but Field has lots of brown to compensate. Field is def. one of the colors I'd love to see revamped.

Since you differentiated the colors I mentioned so well, I would like to do the same. Notice that the glacier doesnt have greens or yellows in it? The battle challengers have a lot of pale green (almost a pale turquoise) and pale yellow in it and no white at all. And as I said in my first post, I like the color scheme a lot, I never said that it must be made in that color scheme. I was mostly admiring the drawing style in cohesion to a fairy pet. The colors could be pink and purple for all I care. I am not picky about the color as long as it is cohesive and well done.

Maybe instead of "fairy" we could call it something like "Sihde" or Arcane? They'd be brighter dark colors covered with runes, magic circles, auras, etc.
