I skimmed the first several bug pages for this issue and didn't see it, so I am creating a new topic.

Today, when I started up quests with Shinwa, I had 2 of them take me to Alexander, the Librarian's quests. He wanted the same book for both quests and even asked for the book twice. I thought it was odd and once I finished up with Shinwa's hunt I went to complete the other 8 quests left with the Librarian. He asked me for the same book, and one other book exclusively. Either or .

Every single quest it was either 2 books he wanted (2 Heather - The Dork, or 2 Carnivale, or a combination of the two, or one of them as a single request). So I don't know what is going on with Alexander, but somebody should tell him there are more books in Subeta than just those....it's going to skew the book & store economy greatly if it keeps up!

I'm having the same problem! I did my Shinwa quests before I went to bed last night so I don't remember what he asked for then (2 quests), but I've done 10 of my 15 so far and he's asking for the same two each time.

I wanted to confirm that the above is happening. His pool of items is down to these two.

Yes, I tried one of the library quests and asked for 2 of Heather the Dork books. I just cancelled that quest.

So that's why it asked me for two Carnivale books in a row.

Ridiculous. Someone tried to fix the previous problem and made a bigger one?

I am experiencing this issue as well. I had to quit the last 2 quests because the book has gotten so expensive. I guess I'll wait to finish up the Library quests until this gets fixed.

I just had him ask for Carnivale four out of the last four quests.

EDIT: Correction, last eight out of eight quests.

I just went through all 10 quests and for EVERY SINGLE ONE he asked for either one or two of the Carnivale books. What the heck??

Same here, just after the Carnivale book, and, not surprisingly, only one person seems to have them for sale in user's shops.

+1 to the bug counter. I can't even finish Shinwa, because Alex is asking exclusively for that Carnival book.

I [thought I] saw that shop buying out other peoples' stock, as well as that of Heather - The Dork. The question is whether or not they noticed the Library quests were glitching with only those two books and decided to take advantage of it, or if it was just standard price matching.

EDIT: Looks like more of a price that was high enough to keep a hoard out of circulation until the glitch ate the cheap ones. My apologies for jumping to conclusions.

This happened to me too, Library came up three times in my Shinwa quests; first two Carnivale, then one, then just now two again. I haven't even seen Heather. What's going on?

Same issue with me. I only went through it 5 times though and I'm not going to mess with it anymore until it is fixed.
