Update: Had to roll back this change due to the number of open connections it created because Subeta is an old school click and navigate around the site kind of website.

i'm very satisfied with the change. i'm getting live events again (which i handn't been for the past few days) and i don't need to do that weird 2/3 page refresh for the event to actually pop up, so that's nice

I'm not getting alerts in my Chrome tabs anymore for events (pumpkin patch, etc) and it started around the time of this announcement. I have to refresh a page to see the alerts. Is it related or just a coincidence?

[edit] Refreshing my browser helped. I thought alerts popped up on the page, but I need to refresh to see what they are, but the tabs are showing the alerts after a refresh.
