Hello all! I tend to avoid making topics for the most part, but I'm curious to find out the general consensus amongst users regarding the rate at which forum points are issued. I've been testing how often points are issued for each post over the past few weeks, and I'm finding the rate is about one point for every thirty posts. That's been consistent throughout the month for me since I started paying attention to it. Have others been finding the rate to be about the same, and what are your thoughts regarding the rate at which forum points are awarded? Is it just right, or should it be adjusted in your opinion?
There are no plans on retiring the items in the shop, and you can buy points from other users. Increasing the rates too much will just cause all of the items to become worthless. It is nice for there to be some form of currency that doesn't immediately deflate for once.
I think I tend to get a ticket every 10 or 15 posts, but I also don't post a huge amount on the forums. It'd be great to know the intentions that you have behind this thread, whether you think the tickets should be given out more frequently or anything. I personally like the system. Subeta has a way of making currency shops with permanent stock maybe not easily obtainable, but with a little hard work and dedication people are usually able to earn everything in the shop within a relatively short amount of time. I feel like the forum shop is a lot more difficult to earn everything by earning the points yourself (but boy do I see people trying desperately to earn as many points as possible) and I like it that way.
I kind of hope that after this year they calm down with adding items into the shop, though. I don't think I would feel like it's being neglected so much as just giving users time to catch up because if they don't want us to spam, even if we're buying points from other people, I think items are getting added too fast.
So yeah, keep points rare and keep items expensive and I'm happy.

I like forum points, and I don't mind having a lot of items in that shop.
What I do mind is the 20+ pts items. Stawp.
I got 9 points so far and posted more than 400 times. Not a good rate in my opinion ):
After my last shopping of one item that costs 15 points this is my situation:
In 3 month of posting on the main forums and groups forums I received 12 points..
I don't know how I'm going to buy all the plushies and beanbags there X_X
Edit: I didn't get a point after posting this post :P
I dunno shrugs I certainly wouldn't mind the rate increased but I am not going to sweat it if it isn't. There is a whole ton of items I need/want but as it was said...doesn't look like anything is retiring.

Can the two first batches have a price cut, to be a little more consequent with the rest of the forum shop.
Glow Paint, Sangrif Tail, Sangrif Vest and Sunset Sea Stones def. are overpriced. 15 pts top would be great.
Big book of 404s is tolerable as a 20pt item, and even there, I find it high. Could be in the 12-15 range like ingredients book.
Ikunox trinket, Patched-up Pillow and Hair Tonic are fine at 18.
Chewed up fingers is high at 16, but it can stay there
Cotton Candy Friends Sticker and Shark Sighting Stickers are too high at 15. All other stickers are between 1 and 4 pt, why are these so high priced? Tehy should be in the 5-7 range tops.
15 pt minions are high, and they're all from the first two batches. Maybe cut to 10?
Other 15 pts items are fine
Everything else is good
[slams hands onto desk] INCREASE THE DROP RATE
I post around the forums pretty regularly, but I can count the number of points I've gotten in the last ~three months on one hand. That's insane, considering how many points most items cost. I'm not even trying to buy one of everything, or even a majority of items, but I would like to be able to earn my way to the handful of things I do want without it taking a year to do so.
Also echoing what said and hoping fewer items get added after the year is out so we can play catch-up with the old stuff.
idk I'm saving up for quite a few items from there still but I feel like I've been getting a lot of points recently. I don't really keep track though, and of course I go through periods where I don't get anything for several days even though I'm on the forums like all the time.
You can just post on GA/User Run Games every day and rack up points from that even if you don't usually post on the forums. I don't really think there's a problem with the drop rate atm
We've been pretty happy with the drop rate of this so far, and the pace of new items going out when we add them to the shop.

How does that require posting on the forums? You can shop search raffle tickets and buy them, no user interaction.
Oh right, I forgot we had the raffle tickets. My bad
No problem :p Agreeing with what you said though. I have over 400 points and I have sold many, given away a bunch... They aren't hard to get, but like any of the bajillion currencies, they are a reward for putting in some work somewhere. Do people really want a point for every other post so they can buy all the items? Might as well just make them all free. The rates were 10% unless they were changed. That's not bad at all.
Edit: got a forum point from this.
The drop rate and the prices are fine imo; I post somewhat infrequently and have just eked out enough for all the stickers. It was a challenge to save up for the two 15 pointers but it was also satisfying when I did! I'm looking forward to collecting some of the wears next.
Plus, the tickets themselves are about 1m a pop at the moment. In the grand scheme of things, it isn't a lot if you're impatient.
I haven't posted a lot in a while, but when I was actively trying for some forum points, I got a lot in the span of one or two days of forum spamming of posting a lot. I think the rate's alright though I wish they would slow down the releases. :x
Morostide will be a good time to get forum points when we're posting in the trick or treat/egg the above topics.
I like the idea of slowing down the releases a little bit, though it looks like that probably isn't going to happen judging by Keith's post. ;) I don't really have any intentions other than I wanted to start a dialogue on the topic. If you're asking my position, I tend to like the idea of upping the drop rate a small amount. I like for items to require some challenge though since I like collecting, so I wouldn't personally want the rate adjusted to something like a point for every three or five posts (coughquest pointscough). ;) That's way too low, but I also tend to think that 1/30 is a bit on the high side. I've seen some people like you say they get a point for roughly ever 1/10 or 1/15 posts though while also seeing others say they get them less frequently like I've experienced (since paying attention anyway), so that's another reason I thought a dialogue might be interesting. I see people span the gamut on forum point feedback, and as for my own experience I could just be going through a dry spell for all I know.
Agreed! The holidays are when I pick up a good amount of points doing just that. :)
