I've been a member of Subeta for over seven and a half years, and I've gone on many, many hiatuses within that span of time. I've joined countless other pet sites, even dedicating large portions of my time as a staff member to one of them. Most either went stagnant after a few years, or were just too bland to keep up my interests.
Throughout all of that, Subeta has remained such a wonderful and familiar part of my online experience. The staff work so, so hard for everyone, and while I've met my fair share of nasty users on here, I've met so many more sweethearts. From official item tributes for beloved celebrities and other influential people to the super fun plots, there's just something so unique and beautiful about Subeta that really makes it stick out. And oh my gosh, we have the absolute cutest pets and items!
Since I've taken so many long breaks, I sometimes come back a little unfamiliar with new rules and site features, and I thank you all for your patience with me! I promise I'm trying. xD'
I don't have extraordinary pets or anything like that, I can barely even code. But I'm finally getting my life together (them early 20's, am I right?) and I hope to put hard work into my account and become a more active part of the community. We're so diverse and so many aspects of the site reflect that, and it's a lovely thing. You don't have to like or agree with everything that happens here, and that's okay! There will always be something for everyone and that's what makes Subeta so appealing.
Thank you for seven and a half years of fun, Subeta! <3
(I'm sorry if this is in the wrong topic!! ;o;)
Lovely post, I can definitely relate to the many hiatuses. I'm just coming back from one actually! Whenever I come back I do a bit more to improve my account and four years later I feel pretty content with it :) LOTS to do still, so many achievements that I am working towards, items I'm saving up for, and events to get excited about... it is the best thing about the site. Thank you and all of the staff for making subeta so enjoyable!

Awesome thread.
I think SubetaTeam catches too much flak from people who are far too angry at virtual pet site things.
welcome back, and congrats on 7.5 years :)
Yes, I know exactly what you mean! You have such lovely pets, they're definitely something to be proud of. ^^ I somehow whittled my pets back down to just Hanrin, my first ever, so I need to get character-building. xD It's sooo hard to choose between all of these beautiful species/colors!
Thank you for pinging Keith! I didn't even think to do that. ouo
Thank you, dear! And yes, I agree. They do such a fantastic job, you can tell they really care about this website and its userbase. <3
Subeta is a much better site compared to others imo.
Just the staff alone and users have a much higher maturity level and care for everyone.
That was a big deal from me coming over from neo!! c:
Anyways... welcome back! ^-^

I'd like to thank staff too. I loved the summer mini-plot, and I look forward to learning more about our new land, Shengui Guo.
I simply can't understand why anyone would still find Neo to be a great petsite. The staff-user communication aspect is so dated and obsolete over there. I love that we can communicate with staff super efficiently here, and that to me is what makes Subeta so great.

Great post! thank you :) Lately, it's so difficult to see something positive under the pile of complains and the negativity :(
I would like to thank the stuff for all their awesome job here, the plot was wonderful, the new land is simply beautiful and amazing. Many things has been changed this year that made Subeta even better. I love the fact that the staff communicated with us a lot and that I can ping them without the fear of disturbing them and always get a nice answer and in general, they are always listening to us! :)
I love Subeta, it's my private place where I can escape from all my messy real life, without it probably I would go insane and live inside an asylum xD
I was just gonna come to the forums to post something similar.
On another website, a lot of people are having problems with a promotion. Some are asking and/or complaining in the forums, others are filing support tickets. The mods and staff are doing their best to get all the available information out (it was a holiday weekend, after all), and after being told that everything should be coming out "early this week," I asked a simple question of "how long should we wait before filing a support ticket if we don't get it?"
The response I got was something that would NEVER happen on Subeta. I was asked if I was "just not reading at all?"
NEVER have I been on a site with such rude moderators, and it makes me appreciate Subeta all the more. NEVER would Subeta staff flat-out make fun of a user for asking a simple question, which had NOT been asked previously.
Even if the whole world rejected you, I'd still be here, by your side.
