I made my own CW! Sort of..... A little transparent shawl...thing :)

This is my very first CW, honestly my first time with digital art in general hahahaha. Or really anything past bare sketches with pencil. I don't art. >.< So please, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong with it haha.
And if anyone would like to collab with me and make a CI, obviously you'll get 1/2 the profit! (Hell if you asked I'd probably give you all of the profit as long as I got a copy I don't think I'm ready for CIs yet ;-; I'd pay you idk man I'm so excited about having done this I just wanna do a thing with it??)
That's a lovely design! :D I think it needs shading in order to be approved, but appart from that, it's very good! Congrats! :D
It needs shading even if it's supposed to be transparent? :o
That's so weird! I don't even know where to shade.... I don't know HOW to shade! XD (at least that bit I think I can figure out....maybe. I figured out how to work a tablet and make a piece in 2 hours I can manage this, right? /nervous)
I'm sure you can! :D I'm very new with CW drawing too! I commissioned some leggings and didn't know I had to shade them, even though they are transparent xD But ask other people to make sure o:
This is your first digital art? I would've never guessed. You're lines are good and the color is gorgeous.
My only few critiques are it looks a little flat and a little stiff and that may change with shading. Otherwise it's really pretty. I can't wait to see it on site. ^-^
Lol my lines are good cus I cheated and used a line tool XD I tried for half the time to make nice lines and gave up! Do you have any tips for shading? I'm messing around with it now but everything seems really...out of place and messy? Blah. This is hardddddd
It's weird cus doesn't have any as far as I can tell..
xD It's fine! You'll do great c: There are the stockings I made o:
Oh wow those are really cute! Yeah I can see why they'd need shading. I think I'm starting to get it a little..I just have to make my process a little more clean ^^;;;
Thank you! :D My first shading ever xD Glad you're getting the idea!
Really? :o Wow it's better tights shading than I've seen on a lot of other items! You did really well!!
Thank you very much! :D I followed the HA's default shading and added another shading layer (cause it requires 3 to 5 layers) o:
Oh shit I din't know it needed a certain number of layers I merged them all into one :o Good thing I had a separate one saved!
I would say the thing bugging me most is the line art. A shawl hanging over shouldders wouldnt have such perfect lines.
I agree it also needs some shading. The item you are refrencing that kei shirt, is old and needs a revamp anyway. Same with the loish transp items. Look at the beach shack specifically. It has a lot of good refs. Especially the or any other colours. Even tights need shading of some sort these days.
I would google actual transparent shawls on irl models and see how they fall. They wouldnt be so boxy on the edges. It would have creases and folds. If I have time Ill draw a little example later for ya ;D But for a first time digital drawing its super good!
I think it's cute! :) I can't wait to see it when it's finished! Don't give up! x3

Hey I use line tool a lot. LOL Especially with long continuous lines. For shading: Cell shading is your friend and you'll want to mess around with "Multiply", "Overlay" and "Luminosity" options for your layers. You'll need hard shade lines to fit the cell-shading look that's required by Subeta guidelines but you can notice that artists like , and use blur tools as well that are much softer to keep it from looking too plastic-y and give it a more realistic feel. I've actually been using techniques I found on Yamio's Channel on Youtube on the CWs I've been working on lately. She uses a nice blend of Cell-shading and blending that is kind very similar to CWs on site.
The best part is the opacity feature and the layer effect features help with translucent items, but it's pretty tricky and takes a bit of adjusting.
