Just a fun little debate, not looking to get heated. Now, in saying that, I play both honestly. I have a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I love them both, and they different qualities, here is why.

PlayStation: Pro: You can do much more without the need to pay, online gaming is free. I enjoy the feel of the controller more, overall nice looking system. And they house Grand Turismo series, not available on any other system. Con: The layout is not to my liking, option wise, very plain.

Xbox: Pro: I love the layout, the options and is (to me) more user friendly. And, of course, they house the Forza series. What can I say, I like my racing games.. Con: The cost to do so little, it's insane and can get expensive. Seems everything costs money. I was originally a PlayStation girl, so the controller is just.. off to me.

So, in laying both out, which one would I chose to be on top for me? Again, I love both my systems. But.. if Forza was made for PlayStation... I'd sell both and get a PS4.

I personally prefer PS3 because I like their exclusives better and free online gaming of course. I personally prefer the ps3 layout over the xbox one but I find them both to be lacking, the PS3 one is plain, while the XBOX360 one is cluttered. I do however prefer the xbox-controller, I think my hands might be too large for the ps-controller or something :P

playstation for sure! first console i had and loved it ever since! i do like xbox though.

xbox 360 bc it's the only modern(ish) console i have lmao i loved my playstation and ps2 but i'm not gonna shell out the money for the 3 or 4 or next however many they want to make

I'm just going to say Playstation, since I've not had the chance to try out Xbox much in my life.

I currently own a XBOX360 and I love the controller, my next baby is going to be a PS4 though.

I prefer the PlayStation; however, when I upgraded to the PS4, I started having to pay for certain online capabilities (Playstation Network). Although watching Netflix and Hulu had no additional cost, playing Call of Duty online required at least a one month purchase of Playstation Network. The controller for the Playstation is easier for me, as my hands are pretty small. I find the layout to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. I think my biggest problem with Playstation is that it requires updates for me to utilize any services, but often does not alert me, so...I generally have to figure that one out for myself. Xbox Kinect is awesome, hands down. I wish Playstation had a comparable apparatus. Yes, I know they offer something with the same idea, but the quality is definitely not comparable to Kinect.

PS, because that's what I'm used to. I've played xbox many of times, but always crawl back to SONY for their features and comfort.

Idk what you're talking about, but I don't pay for my PSN at all for online stuff. You can CHOOSE to have a plus account, but you don't have to.

Never had an X-box, and the last console I bought was the slimmer version of the PS2, which was many, many, many years ago, so... I enjoyed it well enough and I have fond memories.

To enter the world of multiplayer online, one is required to purchase a plus account on the PS4. That was one of the major downfalls for me when I upgraded to PS4 from PS3.

Playstation.

For a lot of reasons: the Xbox One's original marketing campaign was a joke, the initial inability to share games ruined it, the chances of the (originally mandatory) Kinect picking up on a 5th person in the room and doing hinky things there, the constant struggle to actually be anywhere near HD (900p to PS4's honest HD of 1080p)... I could continue.

I do have an Xbox 360 for my other games.

I will always prefer Playstation over Xbox. I grew up playing on Playstation and it's just stuck. It's sleek and very appealing looks wise, it's cheaper than an Xbox, it offers a wider variety of interesting games (IMO), the controller is very nice and the buttons make sense, there are less 13-year-old boys online...

But seriously, I feel like Xbox is for those preteen boys who want to play COB and the like so that they can yell at you during online game play. I think that it's the gaming system for jerks and jerks in the making. Xbox seems to have a lot of shooter games and Minecraft, which I'm not interested in the first and I have Minecraft on the computer which, IMO, is much better than any other system it may be available on.

I've played on both systems (PS since the first to the fourth and an Xbox 360) and have found that PS is much better.

I'd have to say Xbox, but then again there's bias. I own an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One. I have never owned a Play Station, though I have sometimes played on my friend's PS but that was in elementary school haha.

This doesn't mean that I'm opposed to PS though. I'm often jealous of the exclusive content they get, both from my favorite games (lol Destiny) and some PS exclusive games that can't be bought on the Xbox look pretty dang cool. But what Xbox has on top of PS is that all my friends play Xbox. If I had a PS3 or PS4, I wouldn't have any friends to chat with or play with. I'd totally be left out. At least I can talk to my friends on Xbox parties and play games with them online.

I've always owned Playstations, and never had an XBOX. Because my favourite games are already on that platform, I'd have to say I prefer the PS2 and PS3. I also think that most of the titles available on the XBOX can be found in PC format, so if there's ever a game I want to play, I believe there's still a choice for me either way. (I use Steam a lot.)

99% of time I play simply for the nostalgia and all of those games are for PS (or Nintendo). As a kid we always had just one console at a time and after Super Nintendo we've got PS 1, 2 and 3. That's why I'd say PlayStation. BUT I seriously don't care which console people prefer over the other. I mostly use my PS3 for Netflix and movies now.
