So you can change your pet name through the pet page. You can leash them, buy them treasure chest spots, buy extra pet slots, do name exchanges, and give them custom overlays as well. All for a certain amount of sP or CSC.

Why not be able to change their color, gender, and species through the pet page as well? I think it's just a short amount of time before it happens anyway and I'm kind of surprised that we don't already do it. I think it would be a lot simpler and perhaps a little bit cheaper than buying potions.

Like on the dropdown menu of each pet, there would be an option to change its gender, an option to change its color, and an option to change its species. It would be a good way for the site to earn money and it might make it easier for some users as well.

But I might be talking out of my ass here, who knows. What do you guys think?

Honestly, this instantly made me think of like some Facebook-esque social networking game where it's not about the HOW it's all about the WHAT, the final end product. Which tbh, I can understand why this suggestion came about as Subeta is kind of heading towards this and I know Keith basically used Subeta as his Facebook 2.0 guinea pig for a little while, but this is not how things should work. I don't want a pay to play version of Subeta, no matter the currency. I mean, we can already do this in the form of various items and tasks. It's not much, but it's something to help with the immersion and make me feel like I'm participating in playing a game, I don't understand the thought process of wanting to remove that so we're basically all just going around saying, "I want that. click"

No support and I'd love for Subeta to get back to a game-based system, even if it was somewhat optional like the roaming feature from NeuroGalaxy.

The pet page section is nearly impossible to load when you have more than a certain number of pets, and I'd rather have less stuff on it, not more, because mine is unusable.

I don't use the pet page much either, too many pets to load and it's just too long, but I do go to that weird "secondary" pet page from the drop down menu, and I would not be opposed to having those options there.

Another reason I don't like it is because it shifts focus from pets. And I feel pets need more focus, not less.

Pets have nowhere the support they should have on what was originally a pet site, and I think we should integrate pets more, not just turn them in a convenient link option.

I don't like this suggestion. Changing a pet name is not something that's that important to me, but pet potions and elixirs are something that are pretty much the first thing you do with a pet after originally naming it.

Also, does Subeta need over a thousand items becoming worthless overnight? With the struggling economy we have?

That would essentially kill hundreds if not thousands of items. Potions and elixirs would be pointless and you will have quite a few collectors upset over this. Plus not all colors are meant to be easy to obtain like glacier, nuclear, nostalgic pets, glade. They require the use or purchase of other things, to even just waiting for a time to fill the pitcher.

Please no. It would render potions useless and remove an interactive part of the site. Just no. Not to mention the pet page is a disaster as it is.

I don't want this, sorry. Subeta is a game and should be treated as one. There are things I want, but I know I have to work for them. Then, when I reach that goal it feels awesome. Games are meant to be fun and at least somewhat challenging.

No thanks. We don't need to make dozens, if not hundreds, of items useless, in addition to the fact that it's a hard enough page to load/navigate already.

Changing the color, gender, and species are common actions, but it's better as an experience finding the magical items or steps to make those changes to your pets.

It's a sense of accomplishment that you could save enough for these magical items too. or figure out the steps to do it. More interesting than just selecting this or that; it feels like ordering from a menu.

at this point it's essentially suggesting a build-a-pet page, and since boosters are occasionally in the CS, we might as well have the option to set the pets stats for a price right?

Sorry, but no thanks. Maybe a help/FA /link or hover-notes, other than that i think we're good.

No.

As for reasons:

a) I have 38 pets and when the site lags it's pretty much nearly impossible to load the page sometimes.

b) The point of having a pet, and getting the pet a certain color, having it a certain gender, etc..etc.. is to expend some effort to get the pet you want in the long run.

c) In other words, the fun of actually getting the outcome you want gets taken away when everything is simplified to simply being point and click.

d) If you're going to do this for all potion colors that means it needs to be done for ALL COLORS and all genders. That means quest based genders, the gear for steamwork pets, for instance or the colors that require quests in order to be completed would also become simple matters of point and click. Subeta is a game, once you take away the effort it takes to at least do some pleasurable fun aspects of the site there's really no reason to keep coming back to the site because there's not a lot of effort required to simply point and click.

e) All the site aspects that have been changed to point and click, renaming, shout box re-coloring, pet slots, etc..etc.. are PAID with cash parts which should not be a requirement to have a colored pet.

I made a really dumb mistake by saying yes to something I didn't fully understand the end result to. Now my favorite pet is no longer a Ruffie, but a bee. I hate it. I don't think there is anything I can do to get it back short of buying some potion or something. I spent a lot of sp to get it the way it was, now it's gone.

I really so not support this idea at all.

Not only would it render hundreds of items useless, it would actually probably end up messing up the economy on here even more. Sure, we could make it an sP sink and then have all these items going up in price because they're useless and aside from people wanting to buy elixirs for galleries/hoards, they will have no value except to sit and rot unless staff wanted to delete them all and even then, that could take what? Weeks?

No thank you. I like my potions and I like the goal of working towards changing a pet species. Sure, you'd have the goal of making the sP to change the pet but the system we have now is not flawed; why change it?
