It takes so much out of Subeta's universe and experience when an item that did something is removed and instead all your get is a quick link at the top of your pet page.

If we keep going that way, eventually there won't be any more usable items, only a giant drop down menu with a search bar where you can change their name, gender, color, specie, leash, scrolls, description, battle stats, jobs, friends and whatever else pets do, all for a fee

There won't be books to read or foods to eat, but a drop down menu with all the books and foods and an option to buy the ones you want for CSC. No more plushies and beanbags to collect : just pay some CSC and you have them all! Woo! That's so fun! Another achievement to my collection! ..wait achievements ? forget about these too! just give me 250 CSC and they auto-unlock!

In all seriousness though, I completely agree. I already don't bother feeding or playing with my pets because the resort handles that entirely. Restocking is now a single click, so it requires no effort. And now we're getting specialty shops like GoOutside, where you don't even need to worry about whether it's stocked.

Convenience is nice, but it's a double-edged sword.

Why should everything be straightforward and easy to find ? You've barely been here 3 days and there's nothing else to discover, because it's all already there

This is supposed to be a game - more than an game, an immersive experience into a virtual world that has its mysteries and things to discover. Or it used to be anyway. Now we essentially have all the commands to the ship one click away, all in the name of convenience. how boring

You know the Blue Building ? Have you ever noticed how excited newbies are about it when they join Subeta ? They have no clue what it is, all they have is a bunch of tasks to complete to be part of a super secret club. A plot-kind-of-experience. Little do they know, they're actually trying to get into one of the most poorly designed parts of Subeta, but they don't even care what it's in it. Doing it is exciting.

I mean, if I want to play something with no surprises and secrets, I'd play Flight Rising. And even then, with Baldwin's release, they got better.

Yeah I don't like this idea either. I haven't been able to achieve much here since I've only been around for a week I think. On neopets though, you feel like you won the freaking lottery when you FINALLY buy that 1mil morphing potion! (mind you, money is harder to get on neopets)

Besides, I was thinking of writing a little story about my dear pets so taking out the consumable items would really suck. It takes away from the lore :(

Ugh more and more these days I'm seeing all these "can we just have a drop down menu" or "can these all be put in a shop like GoOutside" like....why are players trying to take the fun out of the site? The challenge of saving up for and then going to hunt down an item that is needed to change a color, change a name, etc. I mean do they want to be done playing the site in 15 minutes? Play the site one day and be satisfied with everything? Having an account to be proud of doesn't happen in a day, it happens in months, and that is the point of a game like subeta.

What is the point of having goals if all you have to do is click a button and BAM wow look at that I have a pretty Reborn Lain!
