For Nathan you just want it to look like the inside of a magazine? Because I was toying with the idea of having one closed magazine (so he'd be on the cover) and then an open one with an article like page. Although I'm not sure if it'd be allowed to put the actual words 'Rolling Stone' on the magazine. Copyright laws and all... And the cover holds the difficulty of having to add a bunch of text reffering articles. xD I might just get in over my head if I try.

I honestly think it would be okay since it's just a reference to the magazine and not taking the name and publishing under it? But I'll try to come up with a better fictional name. I'm not sure how subeta would feel about that, maybe I'll open a ticket and ask.

Well when I was toying with the idea I was thinking you could do the cover with say, the headlines referring to "what's inside", and then having each section have a question as a header, like he's being interviewed, then have a small text box where I can add the info under the question to answer them.

If you need ideas for the questions I can help you out- I'd like an introduction section up top, then after that something along the lines of "so tell us about yourself", "are there any special people in your life that have supported you most on your path to fame?", "have you met anyone special since you moved to new york?", and i'm not really sure about the art section, maybe "pictures from the road"? But I've been throwing the credits in that box as well so if you could find a good place for it somewhere in the layout you don't have to include it in the actual "article" part of the layout.

I don't know if it'll help with choosing the questions to know, but Nathan was chosen by his bandmates to fill a spot when their vocalist dropped out; he'd been dreaming of hitting it big since he was a child and the call was his first big break. Even though he hasn't been with them long, there have been very high expectations placed on him by the industry and the fans to take up the reigns of their guitarist (who had basically "rock, paper, scissors"ed with Nate for vocals, and nervously taken up the challenge of vocal training) and keep the band's wild success going strong. Opinions are pretty much split down the middle- there are those who are really excited to see what he can do, and others who scoff at the idea of them bringing a "scrubb" in for fear of throwing off their musical dynamic. So really more than anything, it should read "let's get to know the new guy" and not so much "wow you're already such an accomplished musician, let's talk about the future of the band."

That could definitely work. This seems like it could be really fun to work on. :D And I love the idea of making the textboxes being lined up like he's being interviewed.

Oh I'm glad! I know how much it helps motivate you to work when you can make a connection with the character :D Nate's my huge punk nerd-baby, and he's one of my favorites, so that's why he's getting the special treatment. I really wish there was more on his profile but I'm kind of lazy with keeping up my website profiles and instead I usually end up doing [ bullet point lists and other random ramblings like these ] when I post art so if you want to read that there's the link.

Since the overlay is transparent is should definitely be possible to incorporate it into the background. :)

Textboxes is mostly if you want more than one. But yeah it's basically the story sectrion. I always put at least one textbox in there for the story though.
