This is actually my first time ever posting anything on a forum, so, let's discuss the animes that make us cringe and those that make us cry. Personally, my list of best animes (order doesn't matter) Blood+ Angel Beats! Madoka Magica InuYasha Ouran High School Host Club Elfen Lied Trigun (There's a LOT more!)

I'm ready to get crucified. Cringeworthy anime? I always remember making a weird face of disdain every time the Naruto theme song ended, because that meant the show was actually on. Never cared much for it, even though I tried to.
I've been enjoying Gurren Lagann and have watched a few of the ones on OP's list, but I enjoy Dragonball Z a lot. I read the manga for the original Dragonball and then started watching Z more and more after that.
Gurren Lagann is so wonderful oh my goodness. To be honest I don't like Naruto either. It was way too "Naruto is the chosen one HE IS SO POWERFUL ALL OF THE SUDDEN BC HE'S THE CHOSEN ONE." Plus I always thought it was super cheesy. I really don't like Attack On Titan, and I feel bad and know I'm not justified. I just really hate the fans. Or at least the ones I've encountered, I can't speak for all of them.

- I love Attack on Titan, yet I get your point better than most people since I too avoid that fandom (though I avoid every fandom out there lol). Because issues.
My turn? Worst anime... There are tons, but this can either be a simple matter of opinion (like some people disliking AoT) or a rock fact about life. Same with best anime around. Considering I'm a bit picky AND random about everything (and I'm usually trying out manga instead), it's hard to say I like something.
Things I do like (which doesn't mean they're good lol): aforementioned Attack on Titan, Toradora, Digimon, Ayakashi/Mononoke, Kaiba, Hoozuki no reitetsu, Evangelion, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, Dragon ball, YuYu Hakusho. I'm a bit old school.
Things I used to like: D.gray-man, xxxHolic, Naruto (hahaha, good times, oh well), Azumanga Daioh, Shaman king, Pokémon (this last one is one I cannot stand anymore), Saber Marionette.
Things I tried to like and failed: Danganronpa, Bleach, Another (yes, this), Fullmetal Alchemist (which was never close to my favorites at all), One Piece, Fairy Tail. Some of those are actually awesome, it just didn't click to me.
Things I can't stand: Puella Magi, K-On, Lucky Star, Fate and Type-moon, Hetalia, Pre-tear, Inuyasha, Kill la kill.
You'll never catch me alive.
(did i do that right?) I just don't like the art style of AoT either. And I'm thankful you hate Hetalia. It's terrible. I don't read a lot of manga, and a lot of the animes you mentioned I've never heard of (which is good, that means I now know to watch them!) I know Yu Yu Hakusho is really good, and so is Evangelion, but I've actually never taken time to watch it. I'm not too in to Mecha animes.
Have you ever watched Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex? I feel like, based on your interests, you would enjoy it.
I tried to like High School Of The Dead, Fairy Tail, and Deadman Wonderland, but I have a lot of trouble focusing on an anime's plot or take it seriously if there's a lot of fanservice or gore. (InuYasha was my first anime, so it's sentimental, but I totally understand why someone wouldn't enjoy a program that was 90% the two main characters yelling each others' names. You should watch this video >> Pretty Accurate Parody of InuYasha ) Also I kind of like Lucky Star...or at least the theme song. :)

Speaking of Gurren Lagann, it is one I am currently watching, but Kill la Kill was fun. They are made by the same guy. I recently have been watching Orenchi no furo Jijou which you all might have seen but not watched, it is real cute and totally lovable I totally recommend it. With the bigger anime shows like Bleach and Naruto I must agree I watched them and I still enjoy them but really you pretty much could start any where in the series and not miss much or really you would be glad you didn't spend so much time watching them. lol
Has anyone seen Devil is a part timer? :D I really love supernatural anime and manga with monsters and creatures this includes inuyasha, tokyo ghoul, monster musume no iru nichijou(despite it being SO ecchi it is predictable), Blood Lad, and Blue Exorcist.

- Deadman Wonderland was something I liked a lot but lost interest due to the long pauses between one chapter and another. It would be cooler also if plot wasn't centered around Shiro and Deadman... High School of the dead... I already have a huge issue with zombies, and big-boobed women were never my thing. Joint the two, and there you have the recipe for keeping me away.
EVA is... Well, I don't recommend nor I warn against. It's just... Let's say you either like it or not. It's not exactly about mechas, but anyway, try at your own risk. :P
I get your feelings about Inuyasha, it's the same deal I have with Sailor Moon: the girls are way too focused on feelings and prince charmings, and those thoughts are a bit outdated for this generation.
I have a thing against Lucky Star because it was a show about girls hanging out, and I prefer shows where the girls are... Doing something else than hanging out. And I find it too cutesy.
Kudos to for mentioning Tokyo Ghoul.
Best Animes: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nichijou (My Ordinary Life), The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, xxxHolic
Worst Animes: Death Note, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, basically any shounen anime because boys are icky, obvs :P But really, with animes like AoT and SAO, they are so predictable and formulaic that they're just boring. (Admittedly most animes follow some sort of forumala, so it's not like those are uniquely bad for that, but still.) Also if an anime does that thing where eyes get like bulgey and veiny when the character is panicked or being tortured or something I almost always dislike it because I'm an idiot who doesn't like the sight of bulging eyes. >_>

Speaking of Tokyo Ghoul I believe the first episode of season two is going to be out to day! (Jan 4th) Woo! :D

LOL
- Some people are going to rejoice. My friend is enjoying Tokyo Ghoul:re so far.
I actually watched almost the entire Deadman Wonderland series last night in an attempt to like it again, and it'd pretty interesting, but you know the whole time that Ganta is like "the chosen one" and somehow meets his childhood bff in a shitty blood carnival. It doesn't help that whenever they say "Carnival Corpse," I think Cannibal Corpse. Entrails Ripped From a Virgin's... My friends who like anime are super huge into HSotD. They think it's really, really good and a god-tier anime, but the boobs are so frequent and personally I think it's impossible to take seriously. mentioned Nichijou, which I like a lot, I think it's adorable and hilarious. I feel kind of the same about Lucky Star, I just think it's a lot of fun. Don't hate me, but I've never watched Sailor Moon.

- nah. Like I said, it's a matter of nostalgia. I like it because I grew up with it. As for the girls-hanging-out anime, I simply think it's too much about having fun, so it's not something I'd dig for long. I caught myself addicted to Lucky Star's opening, but it was pretty much that.
Generally, the protagonist is the chosen one simply for the heck of it, but in Ganta's case, his mother was the scientist who did dirty work on Shiro, so he just was (un)lucky to be there.
As for Ghost in the shell, I got track of (almost) everything unlike some, but I need to rewatch/reread it. I don't have an opinion about it other than the art being awesome and plot being interesting. Kusanagi (one part of her we know?) is one of the most vulgar women I've ever seen, though it's good that she's sexually free because I never liked how the girls in anime are always "pristine" yet showing their curves, or just plain WTF. I had an issue with Love Hina because of that.
Kusanagi is seriously one of the most BA characters in any anime ever. Not to mention GITS:SAC has the coolest openings with music I liked so much I downloaded to my iPod when I was 12. I've never seen Love Hina, I don't think I've even heard of it.

I'm all up for any anime because I'm willing to try to see if I like it. Genres I can never get used to is Mecha, Horror and Scifi but there can be exceptions.
My favorites of all time has got to be Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Kamichama Karin, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Tsubasa Chronicle (manga is confusing lol), Special A and Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I grew up watching Pokemon but I don't like how it keeps extending. I stopped after the DiaxPearl era. Much more latest animes I love are Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, Haikyuu, No.6, The World is Still Beautiful, Noragami, Kamisama Hajimashita, Sword Art Online and more. I still need to watch more anime because I just started catching up half a year ago.
Finally. I'll say something 90% of the anime fandom will probably hate me for saying this. I absolutely hate Black Butler, Hetalia, Ouran High School Host Club, Vampire Knight, and Durarara isn't really amazing. I don't understand how Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note and Soul Eater are popular. Fairy Tail is fine for me though but I hate how there's a lot of episodes. I hope I didn't offend anyone there LOL. I'd say I'm a manga person than anime if I have to pick.
Plus, I favorite Yaoi but I'm not those kinds of 'fujoshi' fangirls. Dramatical Murder is off my list.
Looking to Buy:
I personally did not enjoy the Fruits Basket anime compared to the manga.
My favorite Anime have been FMA, FMAB, Black Butler, Sword Art Online, and Fruits Basket. My least favorite anime was Madoka Magica and MoonPhase.

I love love love Gintama.
What do I like? Trigun will always hold a special place in my heart. I like NGE. I don't care for Rebuild. Rebuild is a big pile of disappointment. I like storytelling shows like Mushishi and Mononoke. I like comedies like DMC and Nozaki. I recently decided to actually pat attention to sports and I love Yowamushi Pedal and Haikyuu. Space Brothers, Uchouten Kazoku, Tiger & Bunny, Saint Onii San, Psycho Pass I dont care for harems or otome but they can be entertaining. It depends on what direction they take with the show. For example, I'm eagerly waiting for the next season of UtaPri. From the currently airing season and the fall leftovers, so far anyway, I'm liking Binan Koukou, Junketsu no Maria, Yona, Garo, Shirobako.
Anime I didn't like? Glasslip. I can't believe I forced myself all the way to the end of that. Captain Earth was boring. Chunnibyou is cute but disappointing. Last Exile Fam and E7 Ao were disappointing. I didn't like Madoka or Utena.
Oh. I've got two words. Wizard Barristers.
to name a few...
YAYs: fairy tail (i'm biased when it comes to ft haha) gintama fmab gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun haikyuu
NAYs: school days diabolik lovers
GINTAMAAA <3 trigun was good even though it's a pretty old anime. what's DMC?
Detroit Metal City. It's about a sensitive guy who likes Swedish pop music and wants to be stylish. But he needs money and the only music job gets is the lead in a heavy metal band. He doesnt want to do it but it kind of becomes a part of him. It also got a live action movie, which was just as funny, that had a cameo by Gene Simmons.
Just as a warning, since I don't know you personally, there are rape jokes, suggestive and sexual insults, etc. It's a kind of satire of heavy metal music though. So if something like that would bother you, you might want to pass.
