So after making a post about this in feedback and causing a lot of hubbub, I shall post it here.

I think there should be more male clothing items and wigs. Not necessarily cash shop items, because I have been informed that female cash shop items sell at least 4x more than the male items. I'm just suggesting that we have some more male clothing items and wigs in the main shops, the sP restockable shops.

I understand that there are way more female users than males, so it's very understandable why there are so many more female items on the site. I just find myself wishing there were more male clothing options when I go to build my HA, because I feel like I don't have much in my wardrobe and when I go to add stuff, it's so hard to find more male, masculine items. Even just unisex items would be perfectly fine, but I find it a little difficult to find unisex items that really can work for both male/female, because I feel like a lot of the unisex items have a more feminine shape to them, if that makes sense.

I'm not trying to complain, I think the artists do an awesome job and it's obvious that they put their time and hard effort into making all the clothing and items for the site. I'm just suggesting that, if there's time on the side, there should be some more male items released. *Into the main shops, because I know that the cash shop male items have a harder time selling. So now I covered the issue of 'economic business' as well as the clothing problem.

I like those a lot :D And I said unisex was fine, anything that can be passable as male. I'm just saying I have a hard time finding stuff that I think can be passable as male, I'm perfectly okay with unisex ideas! And I know people have a different opinion, the only reason I added that is because the last post I made started a big debate over business and a bunch of stuff that really didn't even matter for the sake of the suggestion, so that's why I put that in there. Not trying to make it seem like people can't express their opinion, because suggestions are best when multiple people put their ideas together. :)

I think a little clarification is in order. Delish's artist does an excellent Unisex in all their male items. The thing about this fellagirly unisex look is that the base HA we have to work with in our paperdoll dressup has a big head and stubby arms and legs with unformed fingers. All of these features in RL human beings are automatically percieved by brains as childish first and then feminine second because that is the case for most human beings. There are plenty of unisex clothes items on the site already, nobody should have any trouble picking out items like this. If you don't think there are, they just don't look that way -to all y'all who are thinking this- upon first inspection because of the base HA they have to fit. (Subeta will not be changing their HA and I'm NOT in any way Suggesting that they do.)

I don't support the Suggestion that more unisex items be created, because it is not needed.

My support of the more male-masculine items is small because I know that there isn't much call for this. I know there are users here who identify as female who dress up male HAs here. Even though there are folks like this, masculine CW items do not sell well. The demand is not high, so my support for masculine drag is weak.

I don't know, I think it depends on what you consider masculine vs. unisex. Any male clothing item can be unisex imo. Things like facial or body hair? Not so much, and I can see why those might not be as popular as body blushes and makeup items for instance.

does a wonderful job releasing male/unisex/what-have-you clothing, I own several of their items and I make strictly female HAs. I would absolutely prefer more masculine/unisex items over more weirdly-cut dresses like we just got in Icy Goods.

That's very true, the shape of the base HA does make a difference. Now that you pointed that out, I just might have to try a little harder to make some of those unisex items work. I'll just have to mix and match some more. But on the same note, as much as I understand that the site is mainly females so the demand isn't very big for male clothing, I think a lot of females still could get use out of some male items and males or people making male HAs could get a lot of use out of more male items considering there aren't very many.

That's true, most any male item can be considered unisex because you can generally make it work always. It's opposite in the case of female items, because male HAs obviously can't use dresses or skirts, and generally won't use things that are sparkly or frilly, etc. This is one reason why I still think it's important to add more male items, because females can still very well make them work in outfits for their HAs. It's opposite for males. And I also agree with a redeemable wig like that hair, I currently own that wig and I really love the shape of the hair but it would be nice to be able to change the color, considering that blue doesn't exactly match a lot of other clothing items I own. :P

That wig is one of my favorite items onsite and I can rarely ever use it because what the hell does it match?

I know, that poor guy, it's a good thing he isn't active because he would get literally all of my pings. xD If I had 1000 CSC I would happily change my username to Ethan in a heartbeat, but sadly I can't afford that at the moment. :P

I like 100% of the suggestions on this board. A few of my own:

I think something that would help with designing guys clothes would be to look at the female versions of the items as well as the male ones. Like ladies skinny jeans are very form fitting, with few folds and usually the only bunched up fabric is near the ankles. Guy skinny jeans have.. ahem "ball room" so a lower seam and there's noticeable amounts of folds because of that fabric. Also, their skinny jeans aren't as stretchy, if they're even stretchy at all. So they fit well through the thighs and I notice there's loose crumpled fabric through the knees and ankles.

Another thing I noticed with hoodies. Look at how the fabric drapes on the guys vs. girls. In just what I could see with these two comparisons, the guys fabric drapes and folds straight upwards near the chest (lack of boobage and/or shoulder width?) where with the ladies it folds outwards towards their shoulders.

Very valid point! That was a great idea thinking that way. Cuz if the artists were wanting to turn some of these suggestions into clothing, it would help a lot to have male/female versions so they could easily make overlays for everything. Smart thinking I'll have to remember that so next time I find more suggestions, I can try to find female counterparts for artist reference. ~

Yes to more boots, but I'm kind of picky about shoes. It seems like a lot of the more masculine shoes are really bulky, which I find unappealing. Some recent examples:

Yes I agree with that, the second set of boots is much more appealing and could be made to work with much more clothes in my opinion. I agree that the first set appears much too bulky. On a side note, I'm digging your background, what is it if I might ask? :3
