I'm still pretty new though have been blogging a while but would like to know how to improve. I love writing and taking photos but I always feel like I have such a long way to go before I'm even half as good as my favourite blogs. If this is better off in the website section please move it!
My blog is here
Hrm...the best way to improve your blog writing is to read blogs and write blog posts. This seems like crap advice, but I promise you it's going to be your best bet. Read blog posts, not just from your favorite writers, or the things you blog about, but all sorts of blogs. You learn just as much from analyzing what someone did right as you do from seeing what someone did wrong.
Your blog already has some important merits - good spelling and grammar, your casual tone makes your information feel more accessible, you include pictures that are interesting or otherwise fitting for the post. Honestly I think you deserve more credit than you're giving yourself.
But yes, read other posts, and don't (just?) read it for the content, but the writing style, any gimmicks used, the blocking, placement of photos, etc. Read with a critical eye so you can pick up ideas you'd like to try and see in a mirror maybe things you're doing that, when someone else does it, you realize are bad.

Thanks for the tips - definitely agree, I get a lot of ideas in terms of photography etc. from other blogs. I'm just...wary I guess of not losing my own perspective and ending up writing like someone else? I think the hardest thing at times is pin-pointing exactly what it is you like about blogs/what makes the successful ones writing look so good as well.
That's a fair worry...but if you aren't trying too hard one way or another to sound like someone, including yourself, then your own voice should come naturally.
Can't say much on pin-pointing, I think that's just a practiced skill.
