Just what's your favorite book series, maybe include the reason(s) why?

Right now, my favorite is A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. I just really enjoy fantasy and with this series there's so many different viewpoints and stories to follow. It's just amazing.

The eragon series ;v; it was the first real book series I read and it sparked my interest in dragons (I started reading them at like 11 so it impacted me a lot uvu)

Also, not a book series but my favorite book of all time is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. It's very real and hard hitting.

My favourite series is probably the Chronicles of Amber. The depth of imagination and quality of writing are exquisite.

I don't read too much but I was quite fond of the Ratha books by Clare Bell lol...it's kind of like warriors (although it came out before it), it's about prehistoric wild cats having a clan and a bunch of adventures. Kind of cheesy but prehistoric cats are so cool!

Harry Potter, naturally, and Pendragon (by DJ MacHale). Both are really long fantasy series (7 and 10 books respectively), and so creative. I love stories that are really intricate and carefully planned.

I love The Daughters of the Moon. The fantasy of it all and all the ties with goddesses really capture my interest from cover to cover of every book in the series (13).

I have a few. In order 1st to 3rd, are The Tiger's Curse series by Colleen Houck, the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, and The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. I just finished the Tiger's Curse series last week, and it was mind blowing. The story was full of fantasy, adventure and awesome characters. Divergent and The Hunger Games series also contained great content and great characters. But Tiger's Curse takes the cake for me.

Oh man, I'm big into ASOIAF as well, I cannot freakin' wait for the Winds of Winter... I just wish we had an estimate, just a vague idea of when it might be released, so I can reread the series just before it comes out.

The Discworld books by Terry Pratchett are amazing. While the first few books are a bit hit or miss, since he was really just finding the voice for that world, once he hits his stride 4-5 books in they just can't be beat. Each one is a stand alone, they don't HAVE to be read in a specific order but it's helpful to do so, just so you can see how seeds that are planted in an earlier book blossom and bear fruit in later ones.

It's humorous fantasy, but probably not like any fantasy you might have read before, and with some very important pieces of philosophy lurking behind the humor.

For the "A Song of Ice and Fire" fans in here. Did you know R.R. Martin war preparing to release a new book here in October? ;)

Hmmm, favorite series... Well, I've always loved the Elminster Saga by Ed Greenwood, the Dragon Jouster by Mercedes Lackey and the Age of Fire series by E.E. Knight :) I'm also reading the Hannibal series at the moment, very very different from what I usually read but I quite like it anyway.

My favorite series is LOTR. I'm kind of avoiding the fandom, though, because it's full of rabid, offensively-militant SJWs on Tumblr right now. I just can't be around that.

By just started I mean a few chapters into the first book xD Sorry. I'd be further along if I didn't have school to worry about. I definitely like it though. If I had to name a favorite character, it'd probably be either Rand or Moiraine.

Dragonlance Chronicles and Dragonlance Legends were very good...ancient now, but still good.

Love is all you need.
