Laura Kinney, AKA X-23! She's a Marvel character, but fear not-- you don't have to know anything about her to draw her.

This is a reference for her outfit/costume. Here is a reference for how her face actually looks. I'd absolutely love it if you could do it with pink lineart, because dangerous assassin girls + pastels = OTP.

I like the X-Men stories but so far I didn't know her. But she looks awesome! Do you know any story arc where she appears that you would recommend for a start?

Well, I can give you a list of recommendations? Innocence Lost, Target X, and NYX covered her preteen years before joining the X-Men. After that she became a member of the New X-Men. Laura stayed with them for a while until Cyclops formed the X-Force, which she joined. Most recently she was in Avengers Academy and Avengers Arena as part of the main cast.

But most of all, I'd recommend her solo miniseries, which was simply titled X-23. There were 3 volumes: The Killing Dream, Chaos Theory, and Don't Look Back. It was fantastically written by Marjorie Liu, and about half of it was illustrated by Phil Noto, one of my favorite artists.

But before you go reading any of those, I feel like I should warn you-- just about anything with Laura in it comes with very graphic material, including but not limited to: blood and gore, violence, sexual abuse and rape, child prostitution, self harm, etc. I wouldn't want you to, say, download NYX without knowing it deals with some heavy subject matter and end up triggered by it or something.

Whew, that got lengthy. Sorry, I just love Laura to bits. She is the moon of my life, pretty much.
