Hi there! I'm offering Digital and Traditional artworks of the sort you see below; my strengths are humanoids though I'm happy to try fantastical creatures and animals. I'm not all that good at mecha/machines/vehicles, however, and I don't do backgrounds. I also do logo/logotype design. My turn-around time is between two weeks and a month; I always let my customers know if things will take longer than expected. I vastly prefer to communicate privately about sketch progress, though I would like to be able to post the finished artwork in this thread for others to see.

Dollar sketch my head, yo!
Hello! Your art is super lovely and I'd definitely love a slot, but your post is so open-ended I'm having trouble figuring out my order, haha. How do you figure what you're willing to do for what price? I'd like something fullbody, colored, and paid in CSC. Here are my characters, or here's a thread with most of the same stuff plus some ideas. Any idea what you'd want to do?
Hi! I'm sorry that my post is confusing; could you help me understand a bit better what would be more clear for you? I've never done forum commissions like this, so I'm not surprised that I've made some mistakes. :)
Right now I'm offering a special sale for small portrait/bust sketches; they'd be along the lines of the first two examples in the Portrait section but rougher and more simplistic.
If you wanted more detail in a Portrait, or a 'finished' piece with clean lines and/or colour in a Portrait, then it will be within the pricing listed to the Portrait section. The same goes with the Full Body section. I hope that helps a little? Please let me know! :)
I quite like your characters, but I'm afraid my style might not mesh well with their established appearances, I'm sorry.
Sure thing! I understand the special sale part, but what's confusing to me is the prices for other pieces, especially fullbody. You have a fairly narrow price range listed for what to be seems like a huge range of effort/time spent - from something simple like that flat-colored pony to lineart to full-on watercolor paintings, and single or couple. I can't tell, do you determine what you're willing to do with the character for that price, or is it really the same price for everything?
Thank you! If you would rather not draw them that's alright.
Ah! Yes, it is really the same range for digital or traditional. I do not find that making a pony in Illustrator is any more complex than a basically painted figure in watercolour, so I didn't see any reason in being more granular with the pricing. The variance that is there is purely due to complexity; a watercolour piece might cost more than a digital colour piece -- but it might not. It depends on the detail, and what the person wants done. My hope is to discuss it and be fair; I don't want anyone to feel overcharged or cheated.
Thank you for helping me to understand!
what would the price estimate be for a relatively simple watercolor bust of a male human?

alright, would you be comfortable drawing a character with rather different features than the angular ones in your examples? The one I have in mind has a rounder face, probably mixed heritage, etc.

Hello, your artwork look totally great!
How much sP/CSC would a full colored headhot/bust or fullbody (could either be traditional or digital) of him be?
Paulus
Paulus does look just like this: [X]
His face does look like this: [X], [X], [X] (the guy on this pictures is only 19 years old but he was the best reference I could find)
The armor he is wearing are actually two armors put together. The first one is this [X] and the second one is this [X]. His skin is tanned (but not too overly) (just like on the full HA ref of him). His bodily-structure is muscular but not bulky).
Paulus is a Roman Decurio and he is 31 years old. He is serious, very smart and deceitful
?^^
Would it be possible for you to link to a reference, or give a bit more of a description? I don't want to give you an inappropriate quote.
Thank you! I would say a fully coloured portrait would be 800 csc, a full-body with the armour would be 2500 csc.
of course! I'm working on a fanpet for the Dune books, so this there are no direct references for this character (who does not belong to me), and very little book-acccurate fan art.
His name is Duncan Idaho, and he is the loyal swordsmaster for the noble House Atreides. He is described as:
-slender -dark-skinned -somewhat round faced -slightly flattened features and high cheekbones -epicanthic eyes--though his description is ambiguous enough that I doubt he has the extreme mainland Asian "monolid" -wild, unruly, curly/wavy black hair, sometimes compared to the fleece of a karakul
He comes from a future where I suspect most people are of rather ambiguous "race"...in my head I see him as a mishmash of Mediterranean, southeast Asian, who knows what else. I dunno. Duncan is a handsome (total ladykiller in the books) mix. Peoples' guesses are all over the place. As far as I can tell, the only totally wrong interpretation would be to make him 100% white.
References: this one seems like a pretty accurate take on his facial features (slightly ambiguously "exotic" eyes, etc.), though I'd make him a little darker. This one's face is a bit square and his eyes a touch too caucasian, but it has good simpler costume design.
I think your expressive, semi-realistic style might suit him, but no worries if it sounds too tricky! There's a bit of artistic freedom here.

I'll see about knocking a few facial sketches out tomorrow and get back to you; if I'm headed in a direction you like we can figure out a price?
sounds good!

I could not manage to crack anything out that looked even halfway decent; I don't know that I can get my head around this one well enough.
I am not starting out well in this thread! I'm sorry, Sitar!
I haven't forgotten you, but I didn't get the email you'd mentioned sending.
OH because I forgot to send it...that is why.
