[edit] Finished! Hey, ! I finished the artwork for you. :) Presently it is 750x750px; the original is on A4 paper and is not square but could be trimmed down if you wanted it as well. I started out with watercolour and after mucking it up a few times I switched to Copic markers.

Hey, ! I want... : Portrait or Full Body, full colour

It should look like... : I would like this to be the "portrait" of my beloved pet Grail for eventual use on her profile. Grail is a carousel grotesque (meaning a creature that is not a horse) Grail is a rhinoceros, who might have some humanoid characteristics. The carnival that owns her carousel is failing, so her maintenance is imperfect-a bit of tarnish, a missing jewel, some peeling paint. To try to make more money, the carnival owners have come up with a scheme...during the day, the carnival is, as such things are, family wholesome fun, with laughing children, loving parents, yadda yadda. But as night falls, the army of carnies refit the carnival, and after dark it becomes a dark gothic freakshow-not gross horror, but a sort of refined Victorian degeneracy. Grail lives in a world of enlightened conflict. Her creator designed her to delight children, and she cherishes that role. However, her soul leans more toward the darkness. She loves the freaks of the night, who, like her, are "grotesques." I see her in rich cream colors with hints of mauve and burgundy and tarnished gold...pearls, tattered lace...a very "rotten New Orleans" kind of vibe. Grail is deeply conflicted, thus, inherently unhappy...yet she contains limitless joy, if that makes sense. I absolutely want to do this! I'm presently dealing with midterm funtimes, but I really love Grail's biography and I would love to try my hand at her though it might take me closer to a month than two weeks. When I'm able I'll knock out a sketch or two and you can tell me if I'm headed in the right direction!

I love them both, but I think I like A the best. Although dark, and fairly depressing, I still always see Grail as a very positive character, and A really gives that feel. <3 This is all so exciting!
