I've been trying to catch a shiny Miltank for what seems like FOREVER. I've never gotten a chain of 40, my closest was 31. xD So Miltank will by far be the most hard worked for. So what's your strongest/most hard worked for pokemon? I don't want to hear about if your pokemon is lvl 5839859 because you cheat either. Kthnx. My highest level is Raichu, level 99, haha.
I guess I don't really have any super amazing pokemon. xD I used to chain, but I just decided to start breeding shiny pokemon. It takes 10-20 minutes, and I get a shiny pokemon, level 1, with egg moves, and I can create a desirable nature. xD
I hate EV training. It took me forevverrrr to EV train my Shiny Nidorino. I gave it the wrong bracer, so everything was fucked up. I was so frustrated. Dx
My problem isn't finding shinies, but getting the correct nature for my pokemon. I must've had to restart my DS 50 times the first time I played through Diamond before I got a Modest Dialga. And my competition level Salamence? you don't wanna know how long it took me to get HER. :P
The absolute worst though was playing Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube. A lot of the pokemon you can snag have exclusive moves that were normally impossible for them to learn (Back in that gen, at least.), so you wanted them to have a decent nature so you could use them. But in order to discover their nature, you had to capture them. Imagine-after three hours,you've finally taken down a tough boss and captured their Shadow Pokemon, only to discover that you have to do the whole god damn thing over because the pokemon has the worst possible nature. :K
Oddly enough, EV training dosn't bother me. I just pop in my MP3 player, apply the appropriate item and proceed to fight the same pokemon for the next three hours.
Action Replays are actually quite reliable; those stories about it wiping game cartridges clean are usually caused by some idiot activated 15 codes at once. As long as you don't have on more than two at any given time, it does what it's supposed to and no more.
The other pokemon code I use all the time-Walk Through Walls. I don't want to to get halfway through a dungeon, only to discover that I need an HM move I didn't bring with me. So I gotta go all the way back to the PC, detach the ball capsule, switch pokemon then get back to the point I was before. And for some reason, if you mess with your PC box, the 4th gen games feel the need to take 3 minutes to save. :P HASSLE.
Wait, wi-fi resets your pokemon's level? D;
I never really got EV training. My best friend tried to explain but I got so confused, aha.
I was stupid in Pokemon Silver and trained a Fearow to level 100. Then started my game over and did the same thing with Feraligatr.
But I did managed to get myself a Modest Nature Kingdra. And a Shiny Male Luxray with Ice Fang, so I'm happy. ^^
I should get a ribbon for patience. xD I've been trying to get Miltank for like a month and a half. Seriously. IV Breeding sounds fun, I've never heard of it.
Wait, why does Wi-fi make your pokemon's level 50?
To battle with other people online, there's an option to set battles at open, set at level 50, or set at level 100. I suppose it's just to even everything up. :p they usually use 50 for tournaments and such.
I'm a perfectionist, so I train all my pokemon to 100. xD Also, IV breeding makes no sense. My RNGreporter could breed me pokemon with 31 in all stats, but I don't know how to calculate these initial seeds and such. I'll continue to breed for nature-specific only.
Ohhh, I thought so. Well, that sucks, haha. I can't wait until all my pokemon are level 100. :3 But that's going to take a LONGGG time. Especially with all this chaining.
It's using the RGNreporter. You have to measure time and delays. Dx. Not even worth it. I'm not that competitive with battling. xD
I use the RNG reporter. But I just use it for shinies and natures. So I have no idea what you are talking about. xD
My highest level Pokemon was a level 89 Blaziken in Ruby. Sadly, I was much younger and....stupider than I am now. I deleted the file.
My pride and joys are almost all in Pokemon pearl. Because I had so many connections, I received many Pokemon that you normally get later on early in the game. They are all legitimate, and though I am only a casual Pokemon player, quite well balanced.
However, my favourite Pokemon in my Pearl game has to be my Leafeon, which is level 67 and has over 200 defense. That was the result in 20 levels gained by battling Graveler after Graveler. Sadly, I never obtained my shiny Sentret. I soon gave up on that expedition after four weeks of trying. I never got a chain over 29 Sentret.
Luckily, I have Platinum, too. My team consists of about 15 Pokemon that I often switch out to fit the gym, dungeon, or "boss." They are all over level 30 right now, but most of them are level 40. I was originally going to have seven Pokemon, but I really liked some of the ones that I found.
Here's a list:
Typhlosion level 40 (traded over from Pearl in egg form) Wailord level 40 (same) Ampharos level 39 (same) Aerodactyl level 34 (same) Breloom level 40 (same) Furret level 37 (same) -------------------------- Begin the other Pokemon Scyther level 40 (caught because Scyther are freaking assassins.) Leafeon level 36 (Handy when it comes to grass suicide Pokemon, not the same as the one from Pearl) Tropius level 38 (I like the bananas and the fact that it's a dinosaur with palm leaf wings) Yanmega level 40 (It's an Ogre Darner Pokemon. Enough said) Togetic level 38 (Decided to raise the Togepi 'cause I like how they learn Magical Leaf and Roost) Rhyhorn level 40 (I want him to evolve because Rhydon are awesome) Houndoom level 39 (third favourite fire type) And I'll edit this once I finally remember the last one. xD;
And last but not least, my only Shiny Pokemon (found completely by accident): My Shiny Zubat on Silver. I went into the really dark cave, walked around, got into a fight, and my reaction was complete silence and an open mouth. I proceeded to try and catch her and I almost ran out of Pokeballs, but I succeeded. xD
It's under method one. As soon as you put in all that junk, you can choose if you want 31 IVs and a certain stat. I wish I understood it. xD Shiny, legit, and perfect pokemans? O yas.
Oh, forget that. I'm already mad because my shiny vespithing it taking forever. Shiny, specific nature, and female? o.o I'm in for a long night. xD
Just a level 60 Scizor. Most of my pokemon don't really go beyond that. xD
Shinies...are just pure luck. I don't really hunt for them. So far, I caught these guys

EV training is haaard. ;_; Although it gets boring, it's worth it I guess.
Anyone here have pokemon infected with Pokerus?
Oh how I pity you. xD At least the coin flip app determines gender, instead of the horrible odds of finding a female combee? xD
Still ew. xD I wish you best of luck. xD
I refuse to use regular pokemon anymore, just because. xD SHINIES SPARKLE.
