So far, all we have in this department is Experiment 4423, which is a two headed lizard of some sort. While thats cool and all, it does make me a little sad to see that the only pet that fits a lizard look is the two-headed or very very clearly draconic.

I would love to have something that is more along the lines of the lizard minion, perhaps based on crested/leopard geckos? Lord knows I don't have a shortage of lizards to share with the world to get this done~ LOL

As much as I love geckos, there are just so many dragons and dinosaurs already and I can't deal with any more. I don't think geckos are different enough from dragons to really justify it when there are so many other animals no yet represented.

And then there's the Xotl, which is like a leopard gecko / tree frog hybrid already.

Mahar and Paralix are both eastern dragon-esque. Magnus is a gargoyle, but can be pushed into a dragon-realm. Dragarth and Rreign are the typical "western dragons."

Xotl is clearly amphibian-based, and I cannot see it as any form of lizard. Even the name says Axolotl. Its wonderfully drawn, but is NOT a lizard.

Literally, my only complaint about the experiment pet is the whole... two-headed thing.

I do feel we have too many dragons, but there are next to no true lizards. (There are so many splendid lizards irl! Drawing inspiration should be amazingly easy.)

- I didn't mean to imply that the Xotl was a lizard, just that some of its features are similar to those of leopard geckos. If you wanted to do an overlay, the Xotl would be a good pick for the base pet.

The xotl is for me definately a kind of frog. Nice but not inmidiadly a pet I want adopt in future when I get a gold account.

I agree with ya, it'd be cool to see a chameleon-like pet added in.

Xotls are frogs, which are amphibians, and the anything reptilian is either a dragon or a dinosaur. And the Serpenth is pretty much the only exception of reptiles on the site.

I'm glad it isn't just me. XOTL is clearly based on axolotl and tree frog, and thats cool-- I am all for such things! I just wish that the only non-dragon/dino lizard is the two headed experiment... :( I think the artists could really work some AWESOME magic with something skink-like.

Blue Tongue, 5-lined, or even fire skink for body type, crested gecko for face would be totally adorable, and coloring like that of the panther chameleon? Yes, please!

I think I was too hung up on a few minor details when I posted before, or maybe I was just feeling particularly anti-reptile that day. Whatever it was, I think this could be pretty cool now, especially using chameleons' camouflage ability as part of the inspiration. :o

I could see them quickly becoming a super popular pet. CAN YOU IMAGINE THEM WITH THE EYES OF A FROG-EYED GECKO?! OMG. PLZ

There is also the Secret Toad-Head Agama's defensive display, that could be used for some of the more... ferocious pets.

While I'm not sure if we'd be able to get a lizard on here while already having so many dragon-y pets and dinos, I still like looking at cute lizards and support the possibility :)

Interesting that I stumbled upon this! I was just whining to myself yesterday that there aren't more options for my pet Lizard. :P

I am currently zapping him for , but I have been zapping him for well over a year and have had no luck so far. I think he's been every experiment except 4423. :)

Haha. I got lucky with my 4423 and found it in the pound, but I REALLY want an actual lizard pet. xD

that's awesome. If he hasn't changed by next year when I get my next totem I will use it to change him into . I like the experiment because of the bright colors but I wouldn't mind having some more options to choose from either. :)
