Well I'm starting my sweets business, like cakes and such, and I wanted some fresh ideas. Different things, ya know? I wanted to get a general feel of what other people think is yummy. :D

Macarons are super-popular nowadays, you could try those and make different flavors and all.
What constitutes sweet, in your view? I would consider flapjacks to be quite sweet, and adore cakes etc with fruit pieces in them, for example dried cranberries. Good luck in your endeavours!
Well, what I view as sweets are things like cakes, cookies, pies, confections(candy and such), tarts, jams, and even some pickles. I just wanted some people to pick out a few of their favorites, can't make everything. Even if I wished I could S:

If you're still looking for suggestions then... maybe danishes? They can be served one at a time or as a whole cake. Cupcakes are definitely popular, but they're a little played out as a main attraction. I'd include them, but not as the main theme. Little cheesecakes would be cool and swiss rolls are very attractive looking.
Are you opening your own bakery? Good luck : D
- I'm not sure what kind of approach you are going for, but I would highly suggest making themed cakes and cupcakes etc - they are very popular, especially if you market them for birthday parties/special events! (= Best of luck!
Mmm I definitely agree with some themed items, those are always fun and attention-grabbing. For a fave sweet item, I've always loved getting tiramisu's at bakeries. Nomnom. Congrats with starting a bakery, btw, and good luck!
Foods like marble cakes and anything with a ton of sugar is really eye-appealing for customers. I'd suggest asking those who buy from you what they'd like to see more- keep note of them, and get a really average answer of them all! :) You can add new additions of recipes as you go on in your business!
Cake pops are incredibly popular right now! They seem pretty easy to make and decorate and they're really eye-catching. And I second the macarons, they're just as easy to customise and are eye-catching as well.
When I think sweets I think really good, fudgey brownies.
The best of luck. Now I'm hungry for pastries. :)
I love tiramisu, cannolis, petit fours, fudge and of course cake.
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
Carrot cake is quite popular in my café! And I recently made this banana loaf with walnuts and sultanas and it seems to be a huge hit with customers... it's something that is sort of sweet but a bit different to other confectionery things. And I second the mini cheesecakes.. maybe mini tarts and/or pies? idk I love miniature things. I got a miniature three tier cake for my wedding.. gave me way too much pleasure!
Maybe also investigate gluten free products? There seems to be quite a demand for them.. and you can get away with charging a bit more ;)
Artistic cupcakes are really popular right now.... Maybe make "sushi" cupcakes?
Natural and organic treats are becoming increasingly popular. Maybe you could work with that idea and use natural ingredients such as honey, oats, and nuts to make breakfast bars or something like that.

I like the idea of jams because you can sell them as jars and you can use the jams in your desserts...fillings for cupcakes or jam between the layers of cakes. It's also something that you can make up ahead of time and kind of store until they are bought. If it's not the main attraction I think it's something that would be cool to have. Along the same lines of jams what about cakes or cookies or cupcakes in a jar? You mix up the dry ingredients in an attractive way, like layering, flour, chocolate chips, sugar, etc in a nice clear jar and then a cute little card with instructions on which wet ingredients to add and the baking time and temp. Would go along nicely with the jams. Again not sure if that's a main attraction, but it could be somewhere to start with selling things or as something to have on the side that is cute and different. Would make excellent gifts and would be great for people who want homemade baked goods for Christmas, but don't want to put the time into doing everything.
Also, I like the idea of tarts...or a rustic fruit tart kind of thing. In single serving size. Small single serving pies and cheesecakes would be awesome too. They are cute, attractive and it caters to the people that want something sweet, but don't need an entire pie or cheesecake at home. :)

I would consider crepes to be a sweet treat (: filled with fresh fruit and cream, I'm drooling just thinking about it (: I would second the cake pop idea, and also cake balls (my pap's grandmother made me red velvet-flavored ones with a really good white chocolate covering!) Lady fingers and like someone else suggested, cannolis are quite delicious!
