Like the title says, I want to come back to Subeta. But.. I'm scared. Best way I can put my feelings for the site right now.

I had originally joined this site with a user nicknamed "Tons" - her and I used to be really great friends/ ex-"sister-in-laws". When her brother and I broke up, she had blocked me on every website we had constant contact on. There was no reason behind it, besides "we should go our separate ways". I was forced to accept that against my will. I really miss her company... She was the only thing that tied me to this site and I worked on getting my pets so that I can RP with her and things like that...

But anyway... I'm scared of meeting new people, I find myself awkward on large sites that doesn't have close-knit communities. I feel weird barging into threads that people I do not know created (which is.. everyone). I was hoping I could create this thread in hopes of making a few new friends to coax me out of my rabbit hole. Perhaps bring me back to Subeta to where I can play semi-casually again.

TL;DR: I wish to make friends and possibly return to Subeta.

There is no reason to be scared, since most subeta users are really friendly and welcoming. Don't be afraid to post on threads ;) people don't mind, most of them will probably enjoy reading what everyone has to say.

I'm sorry to hear about your past friendship. It's always hard to seperate yourself from a friendship. But anyway, Subeta isn't like Neopets or other larger sites. It's quite big, but it's a close-knit community too. Yes, there will be people you won't get along with, but that goes for everywhere. It's not hard to find good friends here. And no one will berate you for posting on a thread. A thread is open for everyone. Anyone can participate. So I'd say just be yourself, get out there, start posting and mingling and you'll be fine :)

You might want to remove that users' name from your post. That is called targeting, which is against the rules of the site. Just to let you know.

Hi there and welcome back :), feel free to send me a request I'm always open for new friends and I love to chat. But yeah you should defiantly remove the name because it is against the rules.

I understand. I had trouble talking to people at first as well :3 but they cannot see you, they cannot see your awkwardness and therefore... I felt better. People couldn't see my red face and hear me stuttering :P so it was a great improvement to actually think about what I had to say and then type it out and sound really confident :P

Really? I never would have thought a larger website would have a close-knit community. I personally always thought that it died down, on any website, with the more users accumulated and the cliques that are usually made... gah, thinking too much. x.x Sorry. I've had a bad experience in the past with people ignoring me/being snobby by posting in their threads.

has a good point; you might not mean for it to be targeting, but it might come across like that to some users or even staff. Wouldn't want a warning for something that silly ;3

And I always thought I was the weird one for getting confidence because no one could see me :P kinda scary actually since I have a presentation tomorrow and there everyone will see me stutter and I will get this nice reddish color :P
