[color=#431c46] In my wardrobe i have several lipglosses and sticks that are very common such as: candy cane lipstick, various lipshines, etc. i also have the maids lipstick (obtained from the maid and butler costume trunk [female items]). What i do if i want a full, red lipstick, i put the maids lipstick under the candycane lipstick and presto, you've got beautious lips (: ~ Another trick i've found handy is using special effects well. if you have the bloody delux lipshine, you can very easily use that under the "vampire curse" (Obtained from the vampire hunter costume trunk [Male items]). This makes a bloddy dripping mouth with vampire teeth which can very easily be fashionably or gorily paired with various wigs and clothing. ~ Please comment on these tricks and feel free to try these ideas out differently (: i will be giving a flower to every new post, too (: just to keep the spirit ;D -Mary-

vampire hunter lock of hair/blob kitty fanboy wig + default hair high tail blonde/black = pretty and 'full' hair do

I love adding things like the marauder boots or the vampire hunter boots underneath shoes to give height to the avatar. I often times feel that the leags are too short looking. I also like adding frillier skirts underneath straighter ones to make it look like in has the frill at the bottom. But these aren't really 'tricks'. [/fail]
For me it's the necklaces and vests that help me with the layering and hiding unsightly things. Uhh.yeah that' pretty much it for me, also I agree with jelly shoes are one of the easiest, cheapest, most amazing common items to use. They're so nice for layering.
I like layering blonde wigs, alot are pretty much the same color, so they match well :).

to relate to your suggestion, i'll add the punky and dark eyes they also look good under 'artificial' eyes like, my current HA has dark eyes under the donna lashes and it gives it just the eyeshadow it needs (:

Melody lipgloss + darker lipstick gives impression of smile. Southern Gentleman wig+plain emo hair = fuller brown hair with dark tips. vampire hunter slip adds a peek of lace anywhere. Eddie Bell Bubblegum tights under sheer green stockings make green striped stockings.
Pretty much any interesting look can be achieved with expiramentation. Since wigs are expensive, I suggest playing around with wig layering in SubetaHQ before buying.

Ive used marauder boots under lace-up sandals as well- cute look, nice feet.
Also, simplistic black flats over twilight mini pumps gives a great plain black heel look, and I'm sure if would work with those shoes in other colors as well.

I usually layer the Blob Kitty Fangirl Hood behind the hair layer to get cute little ears c:
Everything transparent must be layered over, if you want to take a nice look out of non-existant colors. I liked your lipstick idea, it makes for a lack of non-bleeding red lipshine.
While not really a layering issue, I discovered that Golden Cache eyes go really well with darker skins. That is, if you want to call attention to them.
