I think my favorite covers are the Across the Universe versions of the Beatles songs, just because I love them (:

The PIG cover of "Head Like A Hole" is superior to the original in every way.

Orgy's cover of Blue Monday is one of my favorite covers ever :)

Oh, I didn't even know one of my favorite artists covered one of my favorite Cure songs until I got the album and listened to it.

"Lovesong," Originally by The Cure, redone by Voltaire...

...It is an amazing cover. Absolutely BRILLIANT!

And, while I haven't heard the original, he has also done a cover of Bjork's Bachellor (but changes it to Bachellor(ette)). I don't know if it's a good cover or not, but I like Voltaire's version of it to say the least.

Bauhaus did Ziggy Stardust better than David Bowie. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE The Smiths Is Dead tribute album.

Most of the covers are really good especially Therapy? and The Boo Radleys.

ryan adam's cover of wonderwall (originally by oasis) will always be my favorite. up there is band of horses' cover of knife (originally by grizzly bear), and why's cover of wig master (originally by xiu xiu).

The Frays cover of Kanye West's Heartless. Sounds so much better.

And Spiderbait's cover of Black Betty.

Does this count? Amazing Japanese cover of You'll Be In My Heart... you know, that song from Tarzan. It gives me chills. =D

I Was A Cub Scout did an awesome cover of The Cure's "Close to Me", which you can find here.

A Day to Remember's " Over My Head" is pretty good. In my opinion way better than The Fray's. C: & Alesana's "What Goes Around". <33 I love them. :D

I love the cover Placebo does of Running Up That Hill (originally by Kate Bush), as well as their cover of Bigmouth Strikes Again (originally by The Smiths)

Oh! And Within Temptation's cover of Running Up That Hill is also amaze.

weeps oh that album was a bitter disappointment for me. some of the covers were amazing, but the random bits of screaming each band added almost ruined half of them for me.

but it was the cab's cover of 'disturbia' that broke me :'( i love the cab so when i heard that they covered disturbia i was beyond excited. i just... didn't like it at all :'(
