someone was dissatisfied with something i made, and so they just took it without paying!

edit: the report was ticketed, and is being 'investigated.' since all the melodrama the issue has been resolved otherwise, and the other person and i have both apologized to each other. and life goes on.

so there's really no further use for this topic.

File a ticket, it's against the rules to refuse to pay an artist as far as I know.

Report definitely. This user has been causing problems for a lot of people on the Art Market. She has been rude and really just ugh!

It's like going to McDonalds, telling them that the burger you got was horrible and you wanted your money back, then sitting back down and eating it.

I would definitely report. It's kinda too bad, though, because even if they get frozen, you're still out the time. ^_^;

Anyway, I think you should file a ticket/report that person, cause I don't think anybody else would like to be 'scammed' like this in art forums. ;)

just from reading the posts on the forum, that user wanted something quite implausible. They wanted clothing on it AND still have the sparks on the sides to be visible?

What did they say was wrong with it?

How long have you been working on it?

How many times have you redrawn or edited it?

Please please don't take this the wrong way DBM cause I am not saying this against you. But, it really doesn't matter what the answers are to those questions. If the buyer was dissatisfied, that still doesn't give them the right to use it if they didn't pay for it.

It may have been taken down since I told them it was being reported, but I have a screen shot of it being in use by him/her and sent it along with my reply to the ticket.

edit: i also wanted to mention she was aware i couldn't fit the clothes on the overlay; i told her and she said it was 'understandable' or something along those lines. after the topic was locked i removed all my posts in case the image URL was in it.

Lol whut? I cannot help but laugh at the rudeness of some people. I'm just glad that people like this are not very common on Subeta. Please take our advice and file a ticket. She can't refuse to pay. That's insane and not fair on you.

what a twat. I buy a lot of art myself and I can't imagine not paying someone for their efforts regardless of the outcome of the piece. :| hopefully she'll be dealt with accordingly.

Actually (prior to my questions) the OP didnt say that the "buyer" was using it - they said that the "buyer" took it.

I can't imagine why someone would use art they aren't satisfied with - I was asking about the art because I was trying to understand if you tried to satisfy the buyer.

Well I guess to explain the situation more: OP agreed to do art for another user. There were a lot of little details that the OP wasn't sure they could do and they said they would do the best they could and that certain elements might be left out. They asked if that was ok and the buyer said it was. So the OP finished the art and the user wasn't satisfied. However, they decided to use it anyway without paying and to top it off, they got another user to edit it.
