Marching band season is coming up soon, and I am really excited. Band season was probably the funnest time of my life, thanks to our super-hilarious members XD

And this year's half-time show is gonna be siiiick :D We're playing Brick House, Shaft, Fire, and FUNKYTOWN!!!

Funkytown makes me happy :D

And last year we played Touch Me, Help Me Rhonda, Proud Mary, and Can't Buy Me Love.

I don't know who picks out our music, but I LOVE it!

My future high school does though, along with a chorus. They sing awesome songs like "It's Raining Men." I'm joining that next year. 8D

I'm in the regular band (I play clarinet), and I thinkkk last year (I was in a different school last year) they played the family guy theme song and a Superhero song trilogy. And the Austin Powers theme song. XD Hee hee.

But I wasn't in the regular band last year, so some of that might be wrong.

Unfortunately, my school doesn't have a marching band. That is because the school just opened up this year, and...way too poor to even afford any of it, as of now. If we make enough money through fundraisers, we'll hopefully have a marching band for the '10-'11 school year. And heck, we don't even have a jazz band started yet. That's how poor we are right now, lol. But, jazz band should hopefully start next year.

I'm in concert band, though. I play clarinet. I played alto sax for jazz band last year, when I was at my old school. I was moved since the high schools were overcrowded, in case if you're wondering.

Oooh,this year we're doing a King Kong show!! What's disappointing though is we're low on brass,and its a brass dominated show...sooo....yeah. Not looking good.

My freshman year we did music from Cirque Du Soleil,and then last year we did music based on the cultures that developed here in the United States(like from Native American music,to jazz,et cetera),we called it 'Drum Nation'. And surprisingly we got Superiors with it! ;]

my school doesnt have a marching band either. actually our band really sucks. heres like 10 kids and they do NOTHING. they only play at like 3 football games and then they dont do anything else

Joining marching band this year as a clarinet after a 5 year hiatus from playing.

Our show is Led Zeppelin, so we're playing Immigrant Song, Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, and Stairway; All the favorites. :P

Everyone hates the clarinets though, they're so loud! xD

I don't know anything about marching band. But it's really funny when people in the band trip and fall over each other and their instruments.

Wait, it's JUST starting for you? Wow, our season ended in December! Where are you playing at, what events?

We actually have a Battle tomorrow with four schools; two of us are HHS, and the other two are from 'Across the Water'.

We play a whole bunch of new R&B and rap songs O.o I keep pushing for us to play '4 Minutes' XD

It's not even that they play loud, they're just obnoxious and never shut up so they always get yelled at by the rest of the band. I can't freaking wait. :)

Our actual camp starts in August, but we had mini-camp yesterday and have two coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The season ends at the end of October.

We play at all the football games, and sometimes we do local parades and band fests.

Now that is our drum section XD

They were always getting yelled at by B Ro.

Once, B Ro actually screamed 'I'M GONNA [B]KILL[/B] YOU!' because they wouldn't shut up.

Then one of the drummers whispers: Well, somebody needs a blow job

The clarinets are like a group of giant 5 year olds. I freaking love them to death though since most of my closest friends are clarinets.

I'd say the most stuck up in our band is the flute section, but from what I've heard, that's usually how it is at every school. :o

Ironically for us, our flutes/piccolos are like that, but they're the best section, so we can't say anything =/

I think that's because they really want to do good and play to the best of their ability whereas the rest of the band is in it for the fun and to see friends and generally goof off. ;)

Yeah, most of us are actually snobs. There's only one in marching band that I can tolerate, though.

And no, it isn't me XD

Our flute section is lame, so I spend my time lurking with the brass or the drums XD
