Yes, it happens to me. I hate it when I show one of my friends a band and suddenly the next day they are like, "OMG! They r so AWESOME! I lovez them SO much" ;; So I learnt to keep the bands I like to myself~ ^^;

i don't mind when other people start listening to shit after i do, but when they start pretending that they know everything its like.. afdoiu'pghSTFU.

it especially pisses me off when they start rambling and listing off so-called' unknown facts' about the band/singer that you've known forever. even more so when the facts are so obvious. like the lead guitarists middle name or some shit.

It doesn't really bug me. Then again I don't really have that many people I hate/don't like strongly enough to get pissed if they liked a certain band anyway rofl. I like basically everyone. ;;

I think it's stupid to get protective over a song/band/whatever anyway. It's like... who really cares. I like what I like, so why shouldn't they be allowed to like the same thing? Placebo is like my favorite band EVER and has been for years, but if someone just started listening to them and talking about it, I wouldn't really care as long as they weren't snotty or a know-it-all about it.

sometimes, yes. if it's a song that i really, really enjoyed, and someone comes and ruins it with their obsession. lucky for me, i listen to mainly only vocaloid and soundtracks that are from animes no one has ever heard of at my school. so it's all mine because everyone else is still clueless. <3

Not exactly, but if people are talking about music and someone mentions they listen to whatever band - then someone compliments them on their taste, I often get a strong urge to shout "NO, NO, I'm a bigger fan of (whatever band) than _ _ _ _ "...if that is indeed the case.

But I don't do that, as that would be ridiculous. But I don't really feel possessive over bands...
