Okay, CC. I'm very curious: Do you wear shoes in the house? What's your opinion on it? If you do/don't, do you expect people to do the same when they're in your home?
Personally, I've never worn shoes in the house. It seems weird to me because.. I'm inside, there's no.. bugs or dirt or anything that my feet need protecting from. Right? D: I feel like I'm going to get dirt everywhere or something, idk. No one in my family or extended family wears shoes in the house. Conversely, my boyfriend and all of his family wear shoes in the house.
No. It just creates more cleaning for me and my family to do. And my shoes are so old they probably have years worth of mud on them. :P
And I expect people to follow my rules when their in my house. If they don't, I think that's pretty disrespectful.
I avoid wearing shoes whenever I can. I dislike them. So no, I don't. Most of my family does though. And I don't in other houses, unless the people in the house ask that I do for safety reasons (something shattered/construction/psychotic pets) or because they hate feet. XD
I hate wearing shoes in general, so I never wear shoes inside. I see no real reason to wear shoes inside the house. :1 Pretty much everyone I know doesn't wear shoes in their house, so i don't have to worry about pretty trecking dirt in my house.
Nope, never.
Shoes are really uncomfortable. Socks, however, are just great. ;D
Do you wear shoes in the house? No. My feet like freedom. ;D Plus we have white carpet so I can't really come in dragging mud around. But for other people's houses, I just go with whatever the owners prefer.
What's your opinion on it? I don't really care if others wear shoes in their house; as long as they're fine with it, I'm okay too. As for my own house, it depends on the texture of the carpet (if there is any).
If you do/don't, do you expect people to do the same when they're in your home? Yes if they just came from outside in the grass and mud or something. I don't mind if they wear shoes anywhere where it's not carpet.
Yeah, we wear shoes in my house, if you wanna. Personally, I don't wear them, just cuz I don't like wearing shoes anyway
i don't wear shoes in the house, i like the feel of carpet under my feet C:
my parents like me to wear shoes in the house :P but i don't usually. sometimes i do, just depends on if i want to. but i find it kind of weird people don't EVER wear shoes in their house
I live in a cruddy rental apartment with vile, ugly carpet. I will wear socks if i'm not wearing shoes, so as not to touch it with bare feet.
Nope ! I always walk around in bare feet. I don't wear shoes unless I have to. Plus wearing shoes always leaves big foot impressions on the carpet and just... well, I'm a neat freak, so I don't like seeing them ahah.
I feel it's easier to relax without shoes on.
I don't wear shoes in any of my friend's homes either, unless they specifically tell me to keep them on. I always ask right when I enter someone's house for the first time, just to make sure.
This is me. I love being barefoot, and I'm usually in flip flops if I've got shoes on, anyway. So, I never wear shoes around the house. I don't mind if people choose to wear their shoes around here, but yeah - my bed is a given "off limits" area for shoes.
Also, if you're going to put your feet in or on my couch, I request that you take your shoes off.

Right now the carpet in my apartment is so old that I don't really care, but when I get to my new house there will be no shoes in the house.
I don't wear shoes in the house, but that's because I hate wearing shoes. Wearing shoes means I need to wear socks, and I despise socks. My feet like to breathe. I wouldn't mind someone wearing shoes in my house as long as they're clean. Also, I take my shoes off before entering someone else's home as well. I don't think it'd be polite to track the outside in. The only house I ever wear shoes in is my brothers. For one, the dirt and mud I might bring in wouldn't be noticeable among the mess nor do I feel like contracting some foot related disease from the goodness knows what on the carpet. But then again, I wouldn't advise anyone to be living there, let alone just visit :c

No shoes in my house, that includes guests, and I usually take my shoes off in others as well. Also, I'm a fan of slippers but I'd rather go with socks or barefoot than borrow someone else's. :x
Haha, yeah, taking our shoes off has always been a thing at my house, except everybody else has slippers that they wear.. but I prefer roaming in my socks or barefoot. I get yelled at for not wearing slippers in the kitchen, but I guess it makes sense (floor gets dirty more than anywhere else and if I walk in there and walk out, I'm tracking crumbs and whatnot into the rest of the house).
If visitors come over, we politely ask that they take their shoes off if they don't take the initiative to do so.. and whenever I go to someone else's house, I take my shoes off, whether they like it or not. O_O
If I forget to take them off/don't feel like taking them off, then they usually stay on for a few hours. Most of the time my shoes come off as soon as I walk through the door though. It's the same with the rest of my family if they're not going anywhere anytime soon.
I never notice if a guest leaves on their shoes in our house. I don't think any of my family really notice or care either.
At other people's homes, it depends on how long I'm staying for. If I was just popping by, I'd leave them on. If I'm going to be staying for a few hours, I'll take them off when I get there.
I don't.. but my parents do sometimes well my step dad, after work just say he is bringing in beer.. or say he goes shopping for food, he always walks in and puts it away in fridge and cupboards and leaves his shoes on. I hate it. I think its gross wearing dirty shoes in the house, and us clean feet after a shower getting on it. I mean, its not going to kill me.. Im just really weird that way! :P Like seriiously, ever seen whats on outside pavement, ground? Its dicusting!
Thats what I have to say about shoes in the house! I will shut up now. :D
