During the Masquerade event, I began hoarding masks, breathers, eye implants etc... And most of those items are STILL worth less than 10k, hell, I have items from the Love Epidemic/Valentines day that are actually worth less than I purchased them for. Now I understand that some items just aren't in demand, but these items have been in my vault for months, and I'd like to be able to sell them for a reasonable profit.

I'm just ranting, I don't mean to offend anyone, or to be taken overly seriously.

Good luck! The masquerade items were some of the first holiday items made vendable. They are also not overly popular. I have a lot of them, too.. I'm sure many of us do. It'll be a long while before they inflate much.

Best wishes, hope the items help you make some sP. I've noticed a lot of the retired masks are still very cheap. Then again they DID come out in high stock and most people already have them and perhaps don't want doubles. Lets hope the Recycle Beast asks for more masks so the prices can slowly rise, huh.

I doubt the masquerade items will ever inflate substantially, sadly.

I think everybody just has a lot of those items... who do you think you're selling to? because nobody wants them, I think. :|

maybe in a few years when a bunch of new users join... or something... maybe then you could sell for a profit.

Well the love epidemic event won't be rerun next year, so I think those will inflate with time :) I dunno about masquerade items, I think a lot of people hoarded those.

I doubt they are going to inflate much soon.

All the Valentine stuff people hoarding hoping the shop would only be open for a short while and getting achievements. But the shop is still open to zombies so everything is still available.

The masks were flooded into the system and they aren't really in high demand as no one is really wearing them after the masquerade.

If you plan on making money on inflation - best bet is one time use items like books, plushies, and beanbags. And things that are released on a limited basis. Crystal shop items, token shop, and donation presents. And be prepared to wait. A long time.

Investing is a risky game. It's not a surefire way of making money. Like the stock market, prices will go up...but then can still go down, even after several years (as the prices go up, people will flood the market with them trying to get a profit...and then go down again).

I think people are misunderstanding what I meant when I reffered to the Love Epidemic/Valentines items. Hoarding items from Skitter's shop never occured to me. My vault is stuffed with heart hair clips and lovey doves and such.

You also got to throw in the fact that if they were common items, there are probably lots of them in circulation as well.
