okay, this is getting sad. subeta has officially become the base of art-thievery and sell-ery for pixel money. if anyone is a regular on the art market, you'll see how many random newbies are claiming other amazing artists' work as their own and trying to sell it. it's pa-the-tic. there's like a conspiracy going on, no jokee . anyway, if any of you art thieves are reading this, gtho subeta. __.

i've lost faith in the art market for the time being so commissioning people is definitely on hold unless i know the artist and have commissioned them (many times) before.

But yes, I do agree. I absolutely cannot STAND people who steal other peoples' art. It pisses me off to no end.

Why not have an Art Commission that creates a list of all "true artists"?

In order to get on the list, they need to mail the runner of the list to request a "sample object" -- they draw it. It's like a certificate of authentication.

anyway, that girl was really pathetic. i feel bad for the actual artist behind her "examples." :(

i used to be part of a site with a very large forum for showing off artwork. i was a moderator there, and i can't tell you how many little shits stealing art i dealt with even before i was appointed. the worst thing is that they never owned up to it like our thief had, no matter how obvious it was they were a thief and how harshly we interrogated them. eventually we'd just give up on reasoning with them and let the admins do whatever they wanted with their accounts. :|

I've seen it only once today, and it's been the first time in my subeta history to see art theft :/ And that's 3 and 1/2 years. It really makes me mad..... Art theivery is my pet peeve. One, because the original artist worked SO HARD on that piece and the stealers just copies a link, and two because it's possible the theives gain money or something :| Hopefully it will stop.

There was another one earlier this week. /: I have a feeling just by how they acted that they're the same person. Plus the incidents were so close together it makes me suspicious.

If anyone has links, I'd be more than thankful if you commented or mailed me with them.

It really pisses me off that some people do this. :( Not only are they being disgusting human beings in general, but now they're making people really skeptical of anybody new who comes into the Art Market with decent art.

Go die in a fire, art thieves. Sheesh. The artists here on Subeta put up with too much already.
