Ugh, I can't belive that this has been going on- though, hopefully it is only one fucktard, and not more. I feel so bad for the artist whom draw the said images and such, though. :C

But the first scammer was discovered by some work on SD, I believe.

The second scammer, I received an anonymous giftbox with some incriminating info about the person using art from two different dA accounts, both of which were popular artists. [juvari and chancakes] It was kind of obvious, she couldn't prove it with a journal entry after she was confronted.

The last scammer, I received ANOTHER anonymous giftbox with a link to the gallery thread that she was supposedly giving out, although I didn't see it anywhere. I didn't want to jump to conclusions based on inconclusive evidence, so I confronted her in her art thread and asked for proof, which she couldn't give.

TL;DR, SRY! But that's how it went. I wish I knew who the tip-off person was.

I love juvari too. :c I told the scammer, "HEY, I'M WATCHING YOU ON DA ALREADY!"

I even commissioned one of them, and at first I was so fucking happy, until they told me the person was a thief. The thief didn't get get her/his/whatever hands on my sP, but it was still depressing and upsetting at the same time. :/

What I really don't get is why are they doing this. They know they're gonna get caught, and they know they won't be able to produce a piece similar to the art they've stolen.. so why the fuck do they even bother? They could do something better with their time like.. Oh, I don't know.. drawing their own shit?

Honestly... xD I haven't seen any art scammers lately. I've heard that there have been some but... yeah. :x Sorry you ran into them?

There have been art thievery cases in the past, I got one petty thief burned at the stake a few months. I'm not really shocked, sadly its going to happen as it happens practically everywhere on the internet. I really hope it does not become a major issue on here.

grr... tis make me mad. why would you be desperate enough to steal art to make fake money?!

Mayyybe a news post could be made, to warn prospective buyers who may not be aware of recent art theft/scamming, and to warn any tools trying to perform art scams that Subeta won't accept that sort of crap.

I seriously don't get what makes them even begin to think they'll get away with the art theft in the first place. It's not going to take long for it to become rather painfully clear that their examples aren't their own. =/
