I am getting incredibly tired of so many people using one mental disorder or another to explain away their rude actions. I feel as though it's insulting to those who truly do suffer through these disorders. I'm sorry to say that just because people came to your thread and do not agree with your post doesn't mean they'll back down just because suddenly it was all caused by bipolar disorder or whatever illness you picked out of a hat today.

Seriously, just be honest.... Say your were being a douche and move on. It bothers you that people keep your thread alive by talking about what you did wrong? Get it locked if you can't just ignore it. Stop posting and sounding like a jackass by trying to defend yourself with some sort of disorder. It just ridiculous that people can't face up to their own actions and have to try to find someway to lay the blame elsewhere.

Damn straight! The whole idea of people using real-life situations to justify bad behavior really gets to me. It's like, leave your problems at the door, we don't give a shit.

This...effing sickens me.

If I'm a douche, I'mma say "I was being a douchebag and having a bad day, sorry for the shit it caused."

I'm doubting half the people who pull the excuse really even have the disorder they're blaming their behavior on.

I so agree. Though it pretty strange that it happens always only in the B&C. I think we need a Subeta Debates forum..

I'm very much annoyed by the idea of "it's my period's fault". PMS did not make you do it, so shut up.

It just seriously pisses me off.... especially when they say they aren't using it as an excuse. Really now? Why did you mention it then? There was no point in bringing it up if you're, in fact, not using it as an excuse.

Ha, this would go down a storm! I imagine it would already have about 5 pages of threads within its first week! As for the topic at hand, I'd feel like a bit of a hypocrite if I posted how much I hated it since this is what I used to do a lot :/

I am thankful that I realised how much of a pain and annoyance it was though so that I will never do it again.

If you are by any reason talking about me, about what happened with art last week with me and someone else.

I really am mentally unstable.

It just seriously pisses me off.... especially when they say they aren't using it as an excuse. Really now? Why did you mention it then? There was no point in bringing it up if you're, in fact, not using it as an excuse.

Because we think we might ought to mention it just so people don't flame us so badly saying we have serious attitude issues. It's not our fault. A lot of us can't control ourselves.

Frankly, if you can't control yourself, then you shouldn't be putting yourself in those kinds of situations. It's not up to anyone else to cater to you. You're in control of your own actions and words, and if you're not, then you need to take appropriate measures to remove yourself from situations that could cause you to become "out of control".

I completely agree. But you see, I do not think before I get myself into these situations. Which is something I /really/ need to work on.

Jessicah, I wasn't talking about anyone in particular. I've been seeing it happen for a very long time. I did see that thread, and well, it's over so I won't post my opinion on that here.

And thinking that people won't flame you as badly? That just a lame reason. If you are truly that mentally unstable that you have no control I would think that you would avoid public forums. Personally, I am much more likely to flame someone who tries to use the mental disorder card than someone who takes full responsibility for their actions. No, you are NOT taking responsibility by laying the blame on a disorder.

If you're lashing out and can't play an online game properly, maybe you shouldn't be playing. People who use these problems as an excuse either a) are making it up or b) should be finding a way of dealing with it in a healthy way. Obviously Subeta isn't discriminating against people with any kind of handicap (the rules are the same for everyone), but if you psychologically or mentally CAN'T, you're making the site unsafe and less fun for all of the players. If you are defending everything you do on-site by saying OH IT'S A MENTAL DISORDER, then you really need to evaluate how you're dealing with your mental disorder, or you need to get over it and not be so hung up.

Haha, I was totally going to write "Mental disorders are 90% mental". xD But I mean, if you're hung up on it, it'll obviously be worse than if you're focusing on something else. And really, if you can't control something you type which takes a few minutes, I'd hate to see how you deal with real-life situations. :/

Well, actually I took full responsibility for my actions, and I wasn't laying the blame on the disorder. I know perfectly well I should have just paid for the art and left it at that. But I didn't. Because that's who I am, and that's got nothing to do with the disorder. What has got something to do with that, was some peoples mails towards me, which were just plain rude. And that did not make me feel good at all.

Yes. I lashed out. But other people, who were even anything to do with what happened lashed out towards me, and that was something I did not appreciate, and part of the cause of some of the things I said. And yeah, if I could go back in time, I would change some (well, most) of the things I said. I see now that I was being extremely rude and un-reasonable.

MiMirocks123 - I know hun. But I think it was somewhat to do with what happened with us too, so I was just making things clear :P

Well, that's your opinion, something everything is entitled to. In my eyes, I /was/ taking full responsibility.
