ok, so I really love it when people haggle back with me when I'm selling items. really, I love it, makes my life. but I really can't stand it when this happens:

'buyer: 1.5m on ___?' 'me: how about 1.7m?' 'buyer: 1.69m?'

like... what? :( what's 10k gonna do? just take it for 1.7m! I'm starting to think people are just haggling for the sake of haggling now. sigh.

That's never happened to me, but I can see how that could be really really annoying.

10k isn't going to make a big difference in their life. You can get that much from the wizard quests or a game. D: I don't get it.

I've had this happen many times before, but it just amuses me. I will give them the 10k lower they requested. It doesn't bother me to lose it and if it means that much to them, they are more than welcome to keep it. :D

Rofl. Why are you buying the item for more?! XD

Edit .. Oh, wait. Buyer means.. they are buying. I got that a little confused. Maybe I should get off the computer at this time.

BUT, UH. Yeah. 10k is nothing.

When I put myself in the shoes of the buyer, I find them thinking this, "I buy 1-15 things a day/ That totals to 100-150k a day saved, 700k - 1mil. saved a week." Of course if they have that money I doubt they're really thinking that, but I don't know. I don't really know why I'm trying to defend them. I do find it annoying and it seems like recently almost everyone does that. It's pointless and just waste people's time. -_- But what can you do to change people?

[edit] Forgot to add. Haggling IS fun!

i always want to be a bitch and be like "...are you fucking kidding me, no" when that happens, but hey. i give them the benefit of the doubt and think "well maybe that's all they have on hand and they don't wanna take any more out" or something because that's happened to me before.

I've had this happen to me before, but as the buyer. So it went like this:

Me: 1mill for that shiny thang rite thurrr? Them: No go. 1.5mill plzzz. Me: Uhhhh - compromise? 1.3mill, but that's my highest. Them: 1.315mill then. I go set up a trade4u. Me: No. I just said 1.3mill was my max - it's not worth more than that to me. Them: Sorry 1.315mill or you can suck it.

I refused to play their, I shit you not, 15k haggle game for a 1.3mill item. It was just the principle of the thing.

Part of me wished I would have bought it cause... 15k, whatev, but manggg - I just can't encourage that stupid behavior.

Did I mention this has happened to me many more times since?

haha I had some thing where I cut an item price in HALF from the shop price (not an artifically inflated one either) and they were still trying to whittle it down bit by bit. :( some really nice girl was offering to buy it from me for a much more reasonable price but I thought it would be rude to go "nvm selling to someone else" so I ended up taking a low price.

I haven't sold in forever but I'm totally not taking that crap next time. If you're still haggling lower than a 50% discount on a retired wearable item you are not "savvy" you are STINGY.

And that goes DOUBLE if you're scraping less than 100k off the price. Gimme a break, you can make that from item hunt.

The only time haggling annoys me is ... when I tell people to 'offer' prices, and then they ask me 'How much for this?'... idk how about you OFFER a price!

I like to haggle, but when you're fighting over 10k for a rather expensive item, it's kind of ridiculous.

RAWR!

That irritates the shit out of me too.

But I'm the same way with 100k as well if it ends up being a weird number.

I just sold an item that was 6.9 on shops, so I say 5mil even, they ask for 4.9m.

I traded, but it irks me. 4.9m? What kind of fucking number is that?

I hate 9's.

I haggle 10k amounts on items under 200k, not because I am stingy, but because 10k is a fair percentage of an item 200k or under, if it is an item in the millions, I wil haggle a bit more.

Sometimes people need to put themselves in the sellers shoes, you want to get as much as possible from your items, and haggling past 50% off is a bit much. A lot of people who DO the haggling with sellers would not discount that far, so why the heck would I?
