I hate 9&;s.
OP's previous username was nine. xD

Anyway, I hate that too. I especially hate this: me: '5.5mil.' buyer: '5.45mil.' It has happened to me few times and I hate it so much. :/

I dislike it more when you give someone a price and they say 'Any lower?' I'm always confused as to where people learned to haggle when they do that. You need to put a lower number, not just expect me to lower it! XD

Lol.. It hasn't happened to me lately, but the whole thing is so childish and ridiculous. Who on earth haggles 10k? Do they seriously think 'YES! I totally screwed that guy over! SCORE!' after haggling a miserable 10, 20 even 50k? Especially on items over 1mil..

It just makes me laugh. Here, I'll send you that 10k ,I'll even throw in an extra 5k, just don't make a fool out of yourself PLEASE.

Okay this might seem random but...

This is the only side of neopets I miss.

People there knew how to haggle. If you gave them a price they'd haggle back and wouldnt just gtfo your thread or ask you to lower it yourself.

Also they often MADE OFFERS??!

wtf is wrong with people that they are incapable of offering? I (and a lot of people) ALWAYS discount more when people offers. Yet 90% of people just ask your price. Even if you say it in caps in the OP that you WANT OFFERS.

Sorry i had to rant ~

I don't like to offer, because I don't want to insult the seller. My prices tend to be lower, because I sell for lower.

Thats also the only reason I ask for a price too. I'm afraid if I offer, it'll be too low, and I'll insult the seller and they wont sell :(

I&;ve had this happen to me before, but as the buyer. So it went like this:

Me: 1mill for that shiny thang rite thurrr?
Them: No go. 1.5mill plzzz.
Me: Uhhhh - compromise? 1.3mill, but that&;s my highest.
Them: 1.315mill then. I go set up a trade4u.
Me: No. I just said 1.3mill was my max - it&;s not worth more than that to me.
Them: Sorry 1.315mill or you can suck it.

I refused to play their, I shit you not, 15k haggle game for a 1.3mill item. It was just the principle of the thing.

Part of me wished I would have bought it cause... 15k, whatev, but manggg - I just can&;t encourage that stupid behavior.

Did I mention this has happened to me many more times since?
XD That's not a direct quote, is it?

Anyway, I've had this happen to me as both the buyer and seller... It's annoying, but I usually just give it to them.

Well then the seller is a douche bag!

I guess it can work both ways. "It's only 10k!" For the buyer yes, but also for the seller. I'd accept a crappy haggle like that, but if they try to haggle AGAIN after that, then GTFO.

Lol, Bipolarbear. No, that's not a direct quote, but it's a fair paraphrase. XD

We actually haggled back an forth a lot more than that and they pulled the last second 15k thing when I said I'd reached my max. That's another thing I hate though, I mean it when I say I will not pay more than x-amount. Idc if you only want one more sP - no. Just no.

It is of an even higher quality when a buyer of art or graphics tries to get you to accept something (very very very far) under your normal price.

'hey how about 43000 sp' 'no they cost 5m' 'hey how about 100000 sp' 'no they still cost the same i am not dividing my prices by 50 for you' 'hey how about 250000'

WHAT this is not a flea market stoppit.

LOL! Haggling for 10k less on an expensive item is redonkuliz, ok. I mean; I can understand if it's like a 100-150k item, but srsly- 1.69mil? That's just silly.

Whenever I haggle I always make sure to ask for at least 100k less (if the deal isn't too amazing in my eyes) to avoid being a douche like that.

If you want 10k just go play random, please. :(

Do you realize how hard it is to actually hit 10K in Random? xD I'm still trying to get that achievement. ;p

Anyway, to get back on topic, the only thing that really annoys me is when you go past the first decimal place. Yes, I know that sounds kind of geeky, but it's true.

1.6 looks fine, so does 1.7, but come on, 1.69? That just looks ugly to me, which is the main reason that I dislike it so much. :P But I do agree that at that point, the haggling is just going too far since it's really not that much of a difference anyway.

I've been on the opposite side of that before. I was the buyer and I offered 2.5 mil for an item. They wanted three mil. SO I haggled with 2.8 mil. They were like "2.85 or no deal."

Come on, really, that extra fifty K, really? I said 'No'

. . . . And then later in the thread they sold it for the 2.5 mil.
