I didn't know what to name this topic, so I decided to name it a bunch of different things that express my anger: Common courtesy is SO last season I'm embarrassed of my generation and future generations after mine. People suck A lot of teenagers are ignorant bitches.
I'm sure you're all wondering what spawned this latest bitchfest.
Well, I am here to tell you that the people who live near me are stupid assholes.
It all started when my brother and I went to the nearby dollar store. We were approaching the crosswalk in the parking lot when I see an old lady struggling to get her cart into the store. Mind you, she had some sort of brace on her right leg, which the door repeatedly slammed against.
What did I also see?
Two teenage girls. Right next to her. Waiting for her to get in.
Now I thought that maybe they had JUST gotten there, and I couldn't get across the lot because of all the cars flying by. So I watched for another MINUTE as those two girls just STOOD there and watched the lady struggle.
I RAN across the lot the second the cars all stopped and I held the door open for the lady so she could get in.
I wasn't expecting a thank you or anything, but I really didn't expect the girls to shove my brother out of the way to get inside.
Fuck, it's a DOLLAR STORE. It's not like they're selling Coach purses in there.
And I won't forget the lovely wait in the QUIET line with the same girls a few spots behind us....
'OKAY SO WE HAV DA HOMECUMIN PIKCHURES AND AFTER HOMCUMING I WENT BACK TO BOBBYZZZ AND GAVE HIM A NICE BLOW JOB'
Yeah. Nice -_-;
i was taught common courtesy, and i use it. not because i HAVE to, but because that's how i want to be treated when i become an old lady.
i honestly think their parents are at fault with this. :(
I'm glad someone noticed. -_-
Seems like hardly anyone has any respect for others anymore. I see a lot of kids who are self centered bitches. I want to shoot them.
If she couldn't get her cart into the store herself, do you really think that she would bother to leave the house? lol
I don't even know IF I was taught common courtesy. As soon as I was old enough to realize what it was, I began doing it just to be nice.
And if I had a nickle for meeting a parent who taught common courtesy to their kids, I'd have fucking nothing -_-;
Oh, I'm sure they noticed after staring at her for two minutes. They just didn't do anything about it.
That's terrible about the old lady, I would've helped her too...then again I would with anyone. If I see someone drop something and struggle to pick it up for whatever reason (disability, holding stuff/a child, general old age/ect) I always pick it up for them if I'm near enough.
It's like, I was in the supermarket a while back, and this girl who was clearly with her boyfriend walked past a shelf and knocked a few loaves of bread off onto the floor. They sort of looked at it, giggled like it was funny and then walked off. I couldn't help it, I walked over and I picked the damn bread up and put it back.
D<
I dislike people sometimes. I've ridden far far out of my way on the bus because someone really seemed like they needed a friend or needed help. Hell I spent an hour grocery shopping with a woman who was mostly blind because her 19yr old caretaker never showed up.
It's not like it costs anything or hurts to be helpful. It's sad really. :(
I always do that stuff, hold doors open, pick up dropped items, even if the person is fully capable of doing it themselves. I just assume it's the right thing to do.
That was really sweet of you!
And I love how if I do something like this at school, half the people around me look at me like I have a penis forming on my head.
Once, some dickbag knocked some kid's books, papers, and everything on the ground. I was late to class because I felt bad about not helping.
Still got written up for being late though :P
that's disgusting (their behavior and actions) i wish there was something tactful to say to people like that in those situations but all i can think of is screaming at them.
and keep the Tales of Slutocon to yourself.
Poor lady :(
omg bless your heart, that is so sweet (:
But I'm SURE homecoming and blow jobs are more important than that old woman getting in. -_-
Idk man. Kids sure do suck these days though.
I know, totally, dude! -_-;
My brother actually started yapping loudly just to show them how annoying it was xD
I'm almost positive they saw me mouthing numerous cuss words in their direction. :'D
I figure if there is karma in the world, I'm building a nice stockpile.
But really, it's not like I had anything to do after my classes. I tend to strike up conversations with people that look down, and if someone's face lights up of course I'm going to stay on until they get off.
Though once that landed me up near Vancouver (from Olympia, WA). xD
wow
i was brought up with proper manners and i use them because it is a good thing.
heck i even say excuse me when i yawn or hiccup and i do it because, well, i guess its a force of habit but anyway, common curtesy.
i always help people. i helped a drunk guy into his car last night (granted i almost got puked on but whatever) and babysat the guys 3 1/2 yr old son while his wife drove him home.
idk what happened to people's manners but its about time they start using them
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
I'm sometimes embarrassed to be 14.
I can't stand when girls like that make all teenage girls look like inconsiderate bitches. :c
I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to help an old lady who's obviously having trouble. I mean come on, you're not going to die if you actually help someone. ._.
I think we need a nice, nationwide lesson on decent manners -_-;
Aw, I'd rather have the good karma :P Plus, I like helping people feel better. I don't care how long it takes.
I asked my mom if there was any way to change my age because I'm extremely embarrassed of the ignorant people in my age group.
I held a door open for an old man, and he asked me why I did it. When I asked him why he asked that, he said it was because most 'whipper snappers your age just ignore me and let the door hit me in the face.'
I thought I was gonna throw up right there :/
Isn't it strange how the inconsiderate people usually start a storm of crap whenever the door is hit in their face or such, when they treat other people rudely?
There is a special section for them in Hell.
Treat people how you want to be treated, bitches! >(
Ugh. I'm really ashamed of my generation because of instances like that. How disgraceful to see such an act of self-centredness. :(
That's horrible.My dad taught me to be nice,and I always am.I'm the last person to do everything because I make sure everyone has done it.When I was little,I traded away my good lollypops for the crappy ones,and when I didn't,the other kids whined and said I was mean.I hold the door for everyone,and when I was a CIT,I always walked alongside the girl with the heavy backpack,matching her pace so she didn't feel bad.When I was little,I let it slide when people breezed by me without even a smile or a nod of thanks,but after years of licking chocolate-flavored lollypops and lime ice pops,I call people out on it. I'm sick of people texting in the middle of a conversation.Once I even grabbed someone's phone and threw it on the ground.
