well for starters...you never get any privacy. if you're standing next to a person then you're automatically dating them. rumors get started so everyone is usually against you. PAPPARAZZI. pressure to be too skinny(cause of eating disorders)
Does anyone else think about this?
i honestly think that there are more bad things than good :(
Fame is a pain in the ass sometimes.
But y'know. You gotta think about all that kind of stuff before you go off being famous.
Official Musical Entertainment for
Undead World Organization
Throwing this over to Chit Chat, since it isn't about entertainment itself :)
I agree, it seems like more bad points then good when your famous, all the magazines wanting to write about you and make it public.
Cleared by staff, oversized
Lol, I was just pondering this a little while ago, since I was thinking of two authors I like and how they keep EVERYTHING about them a secret because they really want privacy, even though they're famous among the groups they write for (one is for the Sci-Fi lovers, and the other is for the Furry Fandom.) At least, being authors, they don't have to worry about being thin lol.
So, yeah, I would only want to be a famous something-or-other for the money, not the fame. xD
Yes. :/
I feel bad for celebrities, really. But what has got to be the worst is when a child of there dies... Could you imagine having to see that almost everywhere? In/on magazines and the like? Sometimes for weeks afterwords... It just has to be terrible. Same however when a celebrity themselves die, and their family. The rumors and all the bullshit that follows up with a few of them can't be pleasant either.
You put yourself at the mercy of Perez Hilton.
That...was the first thing I thought when I saw the title. Seems like celebrities can't be real people most of the time...maybe that's why some journalists are all 'OH WOW, THEY WENT SHOPPING AT THE GROCERY STORE IN SWEATPANTS IN THE MORNING!' sometimes.
I don't know, I have a feeling I'd be one of those people that just snaps and lashes out at photographers who get within my reach. And I'm far too secretive for me to be comfortable being famous. Not that that's ever likely to happen.

i would hate being famous.
mainly because with all the lovers you get, you get tons of haters, too. how would it feel to be browsing the internet and find a popular blog entry telling everyone what a piece of shit you are, or sites bashing celebrities with you on their list? i don't know how so many celebrities put up with that. :(
Sure I agree.. you never get your own time. You do something, and paparazi assume something else and post it places.. it would be so annoying to be famous. I'd say more bad things. Oh and you wouldnt know if the friends you have are actual friends.. or just for the fame .

This was my first thought ): oh goddd.
I would never want to be famous. Because like Xalia said, with the lovers, you get a LOT of haters. I could never deal with either of them. Like for movie stars, people have posters and pictures of you on their walls or creepy people write you love notes, etc ///: I couldn't handle that. I'd be too freaked out haha.
I'm a very private person.
I'd be horrible as a celebrity. D:
Even if I was a famous writer, which I would like to be. Besides the critics being all YOU SUCK NEVER WRITE AGAIN RAWR
there would be people demanding MOAR BOOKS NAO ;_;
I'm too private a person to be able to deal with SIGN THIS POSE 4 PICTURE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY
): and fanmail if I was SUPERFAMOUS for some reason and set up an email or something for fanmail and stuff I wouldn't be able to take it. I'd be trying to answer and OH GOD MY SOCIAL SKILLS D:
then the hatemail and stuff. I can take criticism, but not full blown bashing.
I'd eventually have mental breakdown and shoot myself or something. :c
edit: AND MY WEIGHT :( I'm like super skinny and twiggy so like I'd hate to turn on the news and see my name mentioned as ARE CELEBRITIES LIKE -NAMENAMEMYNAMENAME- PRESSURING YOUNG GIRLS TO BE SKINNIER? and CELEBRITIES SEEM TO GLORIFY EATING DISORDERS EXAMPLES: -MAHPICTURE- MAKES ANOREXIA SEEM GLAMOROUS WHILE OTHERS STICK TO CURVES MORE AT 11
I'd break down crying like YOU GUYS HAVE YOU LIKE EVER SEEN ME PIG OUT? I'M NATURALLY LIKE THISSSS D:
They make celebrities seem like unreal people or another species. But they do act like they have superiority over regular people sometimes. Just because you have more money doesn't make your personality any better. I wouldn't want to be a celebrity anyway.
Send me comments (:
I'd enjoy being a celeb just so I could taunt the P and throw everything back in their faces. Might get exhausting after a while though.
I wouldn't want to be famous, but the money part of the deal I would LOVE! I think if I were famous, I would wait until I had a NICE stack of cash and then throw everyone off by doing everything I could possibly think of that was so horrible that they couldn't post pictures of it, maybe not even be able to write about it in the mags.
I would love the money. MMM.
But I'd hate the fame. Sucks because I'm going to become a novelist, meaning slight fame, but that I can handle. I couldn't be one of the singers or whatever that have no talent and get slated in the papers constantly. NO PLZ.
There's so much pressure to be skinny, yet when they -are- skinny theres suddenly rumors that they have an eating disorder.. and if they -arent- skeletal it is all over the magazines about how fat and ugly the celeb is, which forces (most) celebrities to over excersize and starve and lose all their weight within a few weeks. Seriously, its crazy how fast people can go from normal size to stick figure in such a small amount of time.
The money would be great though..
I don't really see the difference between being famous and being a normal person other than the extremities. People will always call you fat, put you down, want to take your picture, criticize you, and more. The only difference is that when you're famous, those people get paid to do those things to you.
