Evening y'all (__)3 (thats a mug of cocoa, not coffee.. its too late for coffee) - our insane weather is suppose to back off tomorrow, its suppose to be above zero. YES! But anyways, thats not why I'm pinging y'all. There's something I saw on the weather channel that I simply HAVE GOT to show you guys. You're not going to believe this. I'll tell you right away that the woman who was driving is ok - which defies all logic thank God.

I have never in my life seen a truck launch over a guard rail, let alone a guard rail on an overpass until today. Nor have I ever seen a Ford Ranger reduced to the size of a compact car. It's.. astounding.

The entire thing defies all logic in my brain. The video was captured by a traffic cam and.. its just .. wow. Being from up north we all have full size trucks, but I've also had a Ranger and never did I think from seeing the pic of what was left of that truck that she would survive, let alone be alright. Its beyond explanation.

that woman must still be shaking. That had to be very scary. But she had some luck with her.

I drive a Ford Ranger and I actually had a near accident once when I tried to avoid an accident. The truck's back end fishtailed so severely I barely got control of it. Scared me so bad I have always tried to watch how I turn the wheel.

I wonder if it was something like that? She turned the wheel and maybe the truck started to spin, hit the guardrail and swooshed over it?

~ Evening! I saw this on TV too.. it's just amazing how lucky she was to survive the plunge. Scary!

- I know right!? I cant fathom any of it, its been -60 below wind chills for days on end here so that would put it about -30 wind chills down there. Even tho she didnt hit the freeway below she still hit ice. Its a miracle. It has to be.

- The article said she may have launched over it because of snow build up from the plows.

Ive hit icy spots before and spun around from that I couldnt imagine going thru what she went thru, hell seeing it happen had to be terrifying for people on the road, let alone going thru it.

- My kids were saying that.. could you imagine being the car behind her.. or seeing the lights coming over the guard rail from below Mom? Me, I was like how can that even happen?

she is not going to want to drive on that bridge for a long time or even want to drive at all in the winter and I dont blame her.

- it totally blows me away when I watch it. I just shake my head in amazement.

- aint no way I would want to get behind the wheel for a very long time if it was me.

I saw it too,it was announced and I was like: OMG THAT PERSON IS ALIVE?!

A 2001 extended cab ranger...that was sure one scary ride.But if she can walk away,it tells me that she had her seatbelt on and the truck is good enough to take a punch and leave the driver in good shape.I own a new black Ranger sport extended cab and i know the back is light....so it needs to have a bit of extra weight put in the box for tracksion.Looks as though the lady used the build up of snow to get launched.Wow that is some high....and the last clean up the bridge had was a week ago the guy was saying........

OMGosh , that looks horrifying. I am glad to hear that she is alright. You're telling me act of God. SHe must have been surrounded by angels.

THe descripition is, this is a neighborhood of condos or townhouses along the beach, and as the waves are crashing in, they are freezing, and pushing this HUGE ice blanket further inland. Just watch what happens.

...um....don't you also drive an Exploder...I mean an Expulsion...erm...Excretion? Or is it an Extrusion...Extermination..Extraction! You know what I mean...that fence removing vehicle.

: That is a scary video. Thank the Maker the only vehicle I drive has wings. It's perfectly safe if you stay above 1000 feet, don't let the battery go dead and avoid arrows and gun-wielding drunk moose hunters.

- we get that off Lake Mille Lacs, they call them Ice Tsunamis, the ice consumes the highway and has consumed houses off the lake too. It takes dynamite to move the wall of ice if it gets bad enough. LOL! That is Mille Lacs isnt it!?

I don't know exactly where it is. I thought it was cool, until the end where it took over their neighbors home :(

Blows me away that she walked away but i'm glad i got a Ranger. Wow they're going to have a lot of ice coming.

- thats Mille Lacs. The ice tsunamis are dangerous because we can't stop them. It's amazing at first but when you see it grow higher and higher and come further and further across the road you realize you're pretty much powerless.
