In the spirit of giving... and getting; we can occasionally get a gift that really 'wow's us. In either a good way or a bad one. So .. fellow subeta members, what have been some of the best and worse gifts that you have gotten over the years?

As for myself, I actually can't remember my best gift ... actually .. no . I think my best AND worse gift would have to be a book my sister got for me back in 2009/2012 when twilight was first coming out. It was a book all about robert pattinson which included all sorts of creepy stalker like information such as his favourite pop and how old he was when he had his first ever kiss~ theres even a page where you can plan out your date with robert down to every last detail.. even the kiss. ... because thats not creepy at all. At the time I was not impressed because I hated twilight.... but looking back its a hilarious gift and I would probably do the same to my sister.

Best gift was easily my Gamecube or my Gameboy advance SP. <3 I still have them both and i play them all the time still!

My worst gift was a bunch of bath soap that smelled horrible and made my hand break out in a rash. I felt bad but i had to throw it away |D; I mean, it smelled like butt. Oh another one was a sweater that was itchy as hell and looked worse than it felt. ;w;

and thats all i remember. xD

Ngl my best gift has always been when I get cash hahah cause it's like a huge recovery from the holiday season spending. But honestly one of the best presents I got (going off of me remembering I actually have it and still use/display it) is a Supernatural poster, and it still hangs over my bed.

The worst would be the time my aunt got me a bunch of Twilight merch, when I rly did not like Twilight and it was my cousins (her daughters) who were totally fuckin into it. Srsly I got posters of each individual character, a few shirts, the books, and a DVD of the first movie. Y..yay??? :I

Best gift was... I don't know, actually. I was always happy about every gift I received. Except for the iPad last year... The price is just way too big for such a useless device. I could build a pretty awesome computer with that much money!

I never had a bad gift.I got an XBOX 360 from my father and he took it back,so I guess it was "somehow" the worst gift. Best gift?It was for my bday, not Christmas tho.My mother paid me a trip to California to see a friend. That was awesome tbh.

Oh now that I remember,I once got a bunch of makeup for Christmas and I hate makeup :|

When I was little, we took several vacations on my birthday which is in early December. Going to Disneyworld or California is a pretty awesome birthday/Christmas present.

Everyone knows that gifts of money or art supplies are very appreciated. I also got a really nice book of Lewis Carrol's stories and poems that I still treasure.

Worst gift . . . I don't know. The only thing I can think of is the nightgown someone gave me last year. It looks like something a 70-year-old woman MIGHT wear if she had no taste in clothing.

Best gift: I didn't realize it at the time, but probably a decent digital camera. I took SO MANY PICTURES Worst gift: ironically, all of the photo albums and picture frames. All my picture taking is digital, and they all go on Facebook. I almost never get them printed.

Best Gift: My laptops, because I use them every day.

Worst Gift: Just about any gift from my dad since my parents divorced. But the winner was my birthday gift this year. He bought me a "cupcake making kit" which was literally just groceries. A cake mix, icing kit, powdered sugar, vanilla, cupcake liners, and food dye. I could ask my mom to pick that up from the store any day.

And should we talk about the birthday gift he gave my sister this year? A purse, blanket, nail polish, a shirt, chocolate, and a keychain. Way to be fair.

I can't remember the worst gift, but the best was a 19 inch flat screen TV I wasn't expecting to get. I think I got it in 9th grade. Up until then I had a tube TV that was reaaaaaally old and held together with duct tape. The main wire was taped in and I'd have to wiggle it sometimes a certain way for it to work. If I bumped it accidentally it would go out. So that Christmas I opened a new TV and was REALLY surprised because I never thought to ask for one and it ended up being something I used until last year (and I'm 22 now so that was a number of years I got out of it) and now my daughter has it in her room. Good gift!

At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone.
It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out.
You cannot read Loss, only feel it.

I don't think I've gotten any seriously bad gifts. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is when my parents got me a night at the museum DS game or something, it was pretty awful. Most movie based games aren't that good...

The best is probably when we got a Gamecube. I can't tell you how excited me and my brother were. We both played the hell out of the thing and we still play it every now and then. I loved getting my DS but having a console I could play with my brother was great despite how much we bickered.

i think my best gift would be the necklace and earrings my boyfriend got me last year; its a little flower with amethyst accents and he got it because he knows i love purple, amethyst and tangled (the flower looks like the golden flower in tangled) and i havent taken it off since he put it on me

but my worst gift would have to have been one of those pooping reindeer toys because the first time i got it, poop was just one of those things that really bothered and embarrassed me and though i look back on it now and laugh at the time i almost cried because i couldnt stand it lmao

The best gift(s) were probably the laptops/game consoles I got from my parents along with these three necklaces my aunt got me. I still wear them to this day, actually!

I'm not sure what I would consider the worst gifts. Possibly some pieces of clothing that I never wore or oil for dipping bread in. I never used that stuff, not sure if we even still have it in the pantry. I tend to enjoy all the gifts that I do get though.

I can't really think of any bad gifts that I've gotten. But the best gift I've received was from my best friend in my senior year of high school. It was a Dean Koontz book that was a German edition. We studied German for all four years and Dean Koontz is my favorite author, so it was really awesome. We still have plans to read and translate the whole thing someday. She's the best.

My best gift will always be when I got to adopt my dog, Chili, 12 years ago. Although she passed away this February, she will always remain my favorite Christmas gift.

The worst gift would be more like most disappointing. It was when I was younger and was really into those Littlest Pet Shops, the original ones. My mom gave me ones that I already owned as opposed to new ones, haha. Disappointment. Beside that, the worst gift was a box filled with rocks and a used deodorant. Thankfully that ended up being a gag gift.

My worst gift was a gift from my friend who gave me a pair of earrings when I did not have pierced ears (which was a topic of discussion many times, so she knew and even acknowledged when she gave them to me) and I had no plans on getting pierced ears at the time. Like...seriously that's just worthless and had 0 thought put into it.

My best gift would be a puppy I got many, many years ago. As far as material possessions go, it's a tie between my iPod and a special stuffed animal I received years ago.

Ugh I've received earrings too despite not having my ears pierced. And that was when I was in elementary school. I guess I can understand people taking it for granted that most teenage girls/women have piercings, it's kind of weird to assume that about someone so young, especially since I was a major tomboy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Yeah, most really little kids don't have pierced ears. What weird gifts we got. :P It's like getting someone a ticket for a free tattoo removal when they don't even have one.

Single best: Probably my Nintendo DS...I can't remember whether I got my GBA SP for Christmas or not.

Another great gift wasn't so much one gift but a load of gifts I got when I was I think...8 years old? I loved Pokemon and Toys R Us sold these packs with about 6 or 8 boxes and each contained a pair of Pokemon figurines for a cheap price. They got me a LOT because they actually made me write down what Pokemon I didn't have and they wanted to get everyone that was there at the store...god that is so sweet ;_____; I'm actually crying right now... I was opening boxes for days :P I got lots of duplicates but I loved each one.

I have some really wonderful parents... I suddenly feel a great need to hug them and thank them. God...

I'll just...post my worst gift later, I can't think of it now. :P
