Was just thinking about this the other day. I do enjoy gifts on Christmas but I have to admit that the decorations are probably my favorite part of Christmas.

Overall out of all of them I have to admit I really like nutcrackers. There's so many different kinds out now that are pretty awesome. Out of the ones that I have my favorite is probably this mouse king one.

I didn't really appreciate it much as a kid but I really do enjoy seeing my family again during December also.

What about you guys?

Nutcrackers have always creeped me out a bit, but I can never really place my finger on why. Maybe it's because they're all baring their teeth at me in a hostile fashion. Idk. haha. I am a fan of the ballet though.

Anyway, my favorite part about the holidays is probably baking. It's one of my biggest hobbies and it just brings me such great joy to bake for other people. I love it. Plus, everyone is always super excited when I bring them cookies or whatever, so that's nice. I also really love the decorations as well, but I really just adore the lights the most. I'm always fascinated by all of the different colors and styles. I'm like a moth to a flame with Christmas lights. xD

Hahah its understandable, I guess they can be a little creepy. I admit I enjoy the ballet too though. Isn't it impossible to not like Tchaikovsky's music? :0

Baking is fun, its too bad I usaully burn cookies though, i'm only good at baking sugar cookies which really take no effort. I can agree on christmas lights though. I'm not sure if I like LED lights though, they feel too bright to me, maybe I just need to get used to them.

I love everythingg! It's my favorite time of year haha. But I would have to say that's because of how pretty everything is with snow and the lights! Then when there's just those quiet nights with Christmas music, scented candles, and wrapping presents. It's all too perfect. ❤️

The food! :D My grandma always cooks Christmas dinner and it's so delicious. I also like all kinds of Christmas lights, because it gets dark so early and the lights make the long evenings seem a bit better.

The overall warm and cozy feeling at home. Eating chocolates and watching movies. Going to see The Nutcracker.

I am a Christmas person but... I wish I could just skip Christmas this year. I'm not feeling good at all.

I had a pretty rough semester and I'm still not really in the Christmas mood yet, haha. I only reluctantly helped put up decorations and only helped with some of the baking. While I'm grateful for the break (for students) that comes with Christmas so that I can catch up on sleep, I guess my one truly favorite part would be the joy I get out of giving presents to other people. I can't ever get tired of that.

Baking festive treats and gift wrapping are my most favourite parts of winter holidays, I think. Though I also often knit scarves and such as gifts to family and friends, and I like that too. Let's just say I enjoy making things for others with my own hands. It gives me fuzzy feelings ^_^

Christmas events and quests in all of the iOS games and on the sites I visit regularly. This year, my favorites are Happy Street, Subeta, Habbo, and Skyrim (thanks to a very lore-friendly mod that incorporates the holiday of Saturalia). I also love opening presents. I don't even care much about what's inside, I just like to rip open wrapping paper. :P I like it so much that pretty much every Christmas Eve I'll mention to my mom that I'm going to be disappointed if I get more bags than boxes. She'll give everyone else bags full of stuff and wrap everything for me, even shirts and tiny things like Microsoft Points. xD

Baking Christmas cookies. I love baking and this is the only time of year I can go full out and and not have people wonder why. I'm sad to say I haven't started yet because of school and work and not having enough money for baking supplies. Maybe this weekend I'll have enough money to get some stuff.

I also really like Christmas lights. When I was little, my parents would pack my sisters and I in the car on Christmas Eve and we would drive through our neighborhood and the surrounding ones and look at the Christmas lights. It was a lot of fun.

I love planning and giving gifts. It's a great excuse to do a lot of baking. I think decorating trees is fun and lights on houses are beautiful. Getting to see family that lives faraway is great. It's kind of cool to me that since most people celebrate something similar around Christmastime, there's this sense of unity with everyone and at least it gives you something to talk about if you're terrible at small-talk like me! And in general most people are trying to spread love and good cheer, and what's not to like about that?

It would be better if it wasn't for dumb songs ("I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" "Jingle Bell Rock" "Last Christmas" basically any Christmas song overplayed on the radio) cold weather, and people arguing over stupid stuff like saying Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays.

My favorite holiday tradition is definitely making rosettes, cookies, chocolates and other goodies with the family. And "testing" them to make sure that they are ok to be given to the neighbors. My mom wants to quit, though, which is really sad.

- What kind of things do you bake? I'm looking for some new goodies to try out this year. =)

- I agree about the songs. When I was younger, I only heard them on Christmas day, and that was great. Now that I hear them so early, I find myself quickly leaving places with overhead speakers because it drives me nuts.

MY favorite thing is actually seeing the presents under the Christmas tree. A close second is the decoration though. I live in a town house and near me there like, these five houses in a row that decorate. It looks pretty and magical lol

ive always enjoyed the decorating aspect of the holidays. i am so drawn to things that sparkle and light up and christmas is notorious for its excessive use of lights and glitter on everything. not only that, but theres a beautiful state garden that covers everything in lights and its such a magical and gorgeous place. i just hate taking everything down tho im so lazy lol

Usually cookies. This year I'm making chocolate chip, sugar, Russian teacakes, Butterscotch Smooches, and lemon. I'm going to look to see if I can find more. Last year I made a cranberry cream torte that was really good but I was the only one who ate it.

Singing in Christmas concerts (of which I have two this year) and singing at mass both on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. I'm in two performance choirs and my church choir. All the music makes me so happy all year around, but this time of year it's just even more special, especially when I get to sing with these choirs that have become like family.

I just like the atmosphere...the decorations, gifts, parties, and of course, the vacation part of it as well. It doesn't feel as Christmas-like here in California at the moment though since it isn't that cold and it isn't raining, which was a norm in years past during this time of year.
