- Are the lemon cookies more like sugar cookies or shortbread? They sound good. I have never made a torte before--is it more difficult than a multi-layered cake? It's a shame that no one else ate your torte, it sounds good.

Making fires in the stove and splitting firewood. Otherwise absolutely nothing.

Old, and obsolete.

Mine are more like sugar cookies. The recipe my grandmother passed down calls for pressed star cookies than sprinkle a little bit of green or red sugar on them. I haven't been able to find a good press since the old one my mom used died, so I usually make them dropped. Whatever way, they are super amazing. They are my favorite of all the cookies.

Yeah, I put a lot of hard work into that torte. I think my mom ate a piece. Another thing I did last year for Christmas Eve dinner at my aunt's house was I made chocolate mousse and I made chocolate shells to put the mousse it. Those darn shells took forever to make because they had to chill in the fridge for 2 hours than sit in the freezer for another 30-60 minutes and I could only make three at a time. I was the only one that ate one at dinner than they sat in my fridge for almost a month. I was really angry. My mom finally started eating them but only 1 every few days because it was so rich. I really like baking and all that but it's only half the fun. The other half is watching someone enjoy the good.

I'm kind of disappointed, last year few people put up lights and it looks like this year it's going to be the same. Our neighbors on each side and across the street have lights, and we do, but otherwise our neighborhood is pretty dark and boring. ):

I've always loved Christmas music, with the exception of a few especially obnoxious songs. I do agree that people start playing it way too early in the season though. At least wait for Thanksgiving to be over! Second up is probably the decorations. I've always loved lights and sparkly things, so it's fun seeing those things everywhere. On a related note: the smell of a Christmas tree. Also, the feeling of a stuffed stocking. I don't know why, maybe it's the nostalgia, but that's a strong Christmas memory for me.

I loved Christmas time a lot when I was a kid. The past 5 years or so I've just not been into it. But now that my boyfriend and I live together, I've been getting more into the spirit. It's even more exciting because now I can have my father and brother over to MY house and cook for them! Christmas spirit doesn't have to end when you become an adult. You just love it on a deeper level. I do love getting those new Christmas Pajamas though! But I just hate opening presents in front of everyone because I know I'm gonna look like a complete doof. Haha, but Christmas is especially good when you have a special someone to cuddle up next to by the fireplace.

I really love the family, lots of eating, and YOU get to spread joy by getting gifts.. though if you don't know what to get it's not as fun. Even though i'm 21 I still kind of get excited for all the festive goodies and colors that come with the holidays.

I've always loved Christmas (: These past couple of years I've been putting up extra decorations in the lounge while everyone else is asleep, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm also making some cupcakes, rice salad, and gyoza for xmas day too. Oh yeah, and presents :P

I like going to the mall around Christmastime. I know a lot of people don't like the crowds, but I really heavily associate seeing the mall Santa and the decorations outside of the stores with the holidays and it really puts me in the Christmas spirit every time.

I have always loved wrapping presents the most! My family all lives on the other side of the country, so I never get to see them around Christmas time unfortunately. :/
