Good Grief. I am still new here, this is my first Luminaire. I have to say I don't know how you all do it! I have 7 friends on my list (A couple weeks ago I only had 2!) Even with 7 friends I can't freaking remember what I put under their trees... or when.

I was so backwards sideways and yellow that I had to write the seven names down and START OVER (and check them off as I shopped!) with presents to make sure everyone knew I was thinking of them! I have no idea if I even sent the same wishlist item twice or something silly like that. I just tonight realized I'd gotten a phone call while writing the list and left one person off.. I had to do an emergency shopping trip.. and THEN I "think" I remember that I already gave her presents...

Those of you with a billion friends.. WOW. I am in awe. I don't know how you do it! I've done tons and tons and tons of random trees and anon gifts, but my friend's presents are all kerfuffled.

Anyone else all skatter brained out like me with the Luminaire trees?

OH SAME. 'Cept I have only 4 friends xP So I have NO idea how people with over 20 manage. I mean there are little tricks (like check lists-uh, can you say lifesaver?!) and the like, but with that many people I would feel totally overwhelmed. So, you are not alone!

I have eight friends who have been active/bothered to chat with me. So I sent them gifts on December 18th or 19th. Can't remember what all I gave them, but it was quite a few things and stuff off their wishlist so I know I'm good to go. :)

Even with one friend on my list, I was a little scatterbrained. And I didn't have enough sP to finish the set, so it's an incomplete set of gifts x) oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?

I have over 50 friends and when I buy a gift to put under their tree I write it under their name on a list I have. Merry Christmas everyone ❤

I have felt your pain. This, along with another reason, is why I don't gift people under their trees. I just send them one giftbox with goodies to all my active friends. If they respond, gift me back, or put a gift under my tree then I've scheduled a week of revenge gifting.

Definitely not, it's way too easy to lose track of gifts xD

I'm a spreadsheet-crazy person so that's how I do it! I list everyone's name on the first column, then on the second column, besides each name I put what I plan to gift them xD On the third column I put how much that will cost roughly (helps me tally a total for my expenses and make sure I won't accidentally overgift/undergift a friend, unless I want to) and on the fourth one I put the general status of that person's gifting ("done", "got nothing yet", "almost done"). As I work on sending the gifts, I change the font color on the item names to indicate things already given ^_^;

It's a bit of extra work and I always overspend anyway but I don't have too many friends, so it's worth it c:

I use lists. I have only one person on my friends list, but I buy a lot of gifts to them, and I really need to keep a list of everything I buy or I'll end up wondering whether I really bought something already or just thought about it. XD

And since I give gifts to random people I don't know as well, I also keep a list of them. Just so I know who I've gifted already.

This is basically me, only I didn't make a list when I went through my friends the second time and I am super worried I missed someone or double gifted the same item and my friends are going to think I am actually the worst

I don't have that many friends, but I know I have a brain like a cheese grater, so I always make lists of everything I need to remember, Lumi gifts included. When I buy something for someone, it immediately goes on a list, as I am looking at it in my inventory, before I put it under the tree. I don't write the full item name, just something like "regal coat" or something... just a shorthand reminder of what I got them.

I'm not done yet and I'm running out of time :/ I'll probably end up sending gift wrapped items instead.

Yep, I'm horrible at keeping track of who I've gifted and if I forgot anyone. I really hope I hadn't forgotten anyone. It would just kill me. No one should ever feel left behind or forgotten.

I totally make use of the the gift list feature on subeta. I'd be lost without it when doing luminaire stuff. Name my list and add everyone getting a gift and start from the top and work my way down for my present giving.

I totally forgot who I gifted and didn't, and I'm kinda waiting for them to talk about what they got to figure it out and nonchalantly send them giftboxes. coughs and hides in shame I usually kept a list but I was really pressed for time this year because of issues IRL so... urgh. Kill me please.

I remember I had the same problem ever since I joined the site. So starting last year, I made checklists, with all my friend's usernames, and whatever items I already put under their trees. It takes time, but it is effective. I'd feel super bad if I forget someone, or gift someone the same item twice, or something else. Meh!

Thank you guys so much. You've not only given me lots of tips for next time, but eased my mind. I was so frazzled, and wondering how I was gonna not hurt someone's feelings on accident. I appreciate your stories and tidbits as well. I made it through, I hope. There might be some doubles but that'll hopefully just give them a gift to give someone else, or some extra sps. I saw you make scarves? Do you knit, or ? I would love to learn to do it. There is an org that takes "leggings" knitted for paralyzed and injured animals to wear over their legs so they do not get sores. It is for people with no other place to turn. Also your HA's hair is beyond words, my two favorite colors. Is it a "normal" item or one of these "private" things I've heard of? I am still trying to learn all these different item types!
