I was trying to figure out if users were inflating the prices for the items for Alexander's Quests on Kumos, so I decided to stalk the Home Appliances store (https://kumos.subeta.net/shops/23?period=month /https://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=23 ) And it's definitely not stocking. If my math is right, and if the info on Kumos is right, that shop hasn't stocked in roughly 12 days. THere's enough problems with overpriced items in Kumos Quests even before this, so hopefully can fix this soon (Please and thank you!)

The inflated prices have been wild! I don't always expect to make back what I spend on questing, but I also know that spending 1M+ on an item across several quests is... probably not what the experience is intended to be. Fixing the restocking bug would definitely help!

The shops haven't been restocking properly at all for weeks

I've been noticing this too! I'm lucky if I can do one, maybe two, Saggi quests a day lately.

But the problem has definitely been sliding into other Kumos quest givers. Melaria, the Librarian, and even Maybel. I can't contribute any evidence that it's due to restocking, but anecdotally, I have definitely noticed a strong up-tick in the number of Kumos quests I give up on due to the insane cost of items.

ETA: RIP, I just tried to do my Kumos quests today. Zero reasonable Saggi quests, gave up on all of them. The Librarian asked for stuff that costs 100k+, 200k+ on all five quests. Maybel was 50% reasonable, and 50% asking for 100k or more. One minion was going for 300k+

Questing has definitely been tough lately.

Shops not restocking properly is part of the problem. The quest issue, specifically Kumos quests, is largely due to the item pool being so small. It's an ongoing issue for Kumos quest givers.

Something odd is happening with Book Nook today, it keeps restocking the same 9 rare books over and over again every five minutes or so.

All 9 books always restock at the same time, and the message under the shop name doesn't update, so it still says "Restocked X minutes ago".

I think the same thing is happening in Spells Galore, too, and the items affected are possibly Deaths Kiss, Fox Fire, Golden Seal, Monkey Paw, Monkey Brain and Deadly Nightshade. All of those items usually stock 2-3 copies at a time (as far as I remember), but now they appear at the exact same time and restock only one copy.

I'm also suspecting the affected items in the shop aren't stacking. I don't always buy the Monkey Paw, Monkey Brain or Deadly Nightshade, and they stay at 1 item stocked. And whenever I take a longer break, I always come back to these items having only 1 copy in stock.

This is happening in all shops and they are restocking faster than until yesterday - more like the old 5 minutes on average.

Keith confirmed in Discord that he's poked at it and it SHOULD be working (the counter is likely broken in the kumos shop though) and "It now specifically pulls items that are frequently asked for in quests and puts them in outside of the bounds or limits of the shops" so yay! :D

Sadly it's still not fixed! And, no, it's definitely not items asked for in Kumos quests (these items are still not stocking)! And Subeta quests neither. This is ruining the economy even more.

Also: the items reappear during restock cooldowns!

notes forget the 'restocked x mintues ago' timer main pend is every 5 minutes, and around 17-20 seconds mark; main pends have the same selection of "rare" items appear every time check for mini-pends 2-3 minutes after main pend; not guaranteed to happen! What does this all mean? Main pend items are going to devalue quickly over time since they occur every 5 minutes, while the inconsistency of mini-pends does not bode well for other rare items not in that selection of the main pend

Uh so, if I understood right, this is intentional and works under the assumption that the items are immediately moved into usershops and priced? I mean it's fine, I'm not complaining, it's just that I generally hoard them in my gallery instead, and pull out stuff to resell later when I need sP and have the motivation to manage pricing things manually without GA. So I guess I'm not playing the game as intended right now and it's not helping the issue it's trying to fix. I accumulated around ~40 copies of all of these books yesterday, and another ~40 copies today, and none of them went back into circulation cuz they're sitting in my gallery for the foreseeable future.

I'm not sure what to do right now.

What are you guys talking about? Who said / why would restocking (super)rares galore be intentional? I don't see the purpose - other than the prices all going down again to like 3k, which the "Subeta Team bought" tried to leviate a couple of days ago? On top no quest is asking for those items on either site.

That's the impression I got from Keith's replies on Discord, but I'm not a native english speaker so I may have misinterpreted what he meant.

It sounded as if a couple of posts were missing from the thread... If you refer to any off site statements/news, somebody should quote them here, so we also get the information; plus otherwise it all gets even more confusing, lol.

I agree that it's not working well. Since the Legacy/Kumos shop merger, there are cheap, common items completely absent from restocks and certain rares that seem to restock frequently. The main shop restocks on Kumos were a mess before this merger, and now Legacy is suffering the same fate.

What has been going on in shops since yesterday is something completely different, respectively MEGA enhanced on a small percentage of (unasked for) items. So this is a new bug.

METROID listed the ones from Book Nook above. I haven't seen the, what she calls, "mini pends" - whatever that means, lol -, though.

I also for the most part don't put my restocked stuff into my shops unless the items sell at a for me viable price.

I'll keep an eye out later today. I did some restocking last night, but I was only focused on worthless junk. I did notice the bakery had multiples of rare cakes last night. I prefer the Legacy shop system, even with the five second rule I could restock a lot more for extended periods than I can now. Not to mention the negative effect this system is having on questing.

Edit: Just saw rarity 99 stock back to back. Yeah, something is definitely wackier than it had been. And it was already wacky.

To stay on topic, I noticed "Insane Programming Volume 2" has entered the pool of books that gets restocked every five minutes. So the items in the pool are changing, it's just very slow. Maybe it could be sped up a little?

I'm also seeing more repetitive items - yet the crazyness continues/is enhanced.
