Since we're getting fewer new items each year for holiday shops (Louis A'Mour, Zombie Den, Esthers, etc.), how about if, during their respective holiday, the shops discounted a select few random years for their currencies? Say for Zombie Den, Skitters discounts the years 2012, 2014 and 2020 by some percentage (no idea yet, maybe 15%?) and it's only during Survival is when that discount is available. Rest of the year, sorry, it will be back at full price.

This way, users old and new can maybe save a little on older items to catch up on, also increase site activity and participation to take advantage of the good deals.

I don't know - holiday currencies are already at risk of getting devalued due to being handed out at increased rates over on Kumos as well as their previous Legacy rates. Could be fun, though!

As an old user who missed out on some holidays due to work or it happening during a bad personal time, this would be especially nice in the Masq and Vesnali shops. The amount of items in older years is massive and especially a pain if it's an item with multiple uses. The amount of wearable food is killer sometimes.

I liked the idea at first but at the same time what said makes sense.

Taking this Survival as an example, it already made sure everyone gets plenty of hearts and I assume this will be happening more often in others events. This alone already compensates by a lot, A LOT, it just feels enough, as someone who never bought anything from those shops due to pure laziness of kissing it surely made it super easy for me to collect stuff I never did.

I also think having the certainty of a discount in shops with regular sP will make people refuse to pay full price or a price given by an user that could be considered too much for an item worth less/on discount soon.

It's a super fun idea in theory, I could see in maybe just a few selection of items or one single item like the Hustler does with CSC, but entire years worth of items definitely will hurt in some way more than do good.
