^ me upon realizing there's not a single bassoon on this goddamn site

HELLO SUBETA I am back on my classical music bullshit and I am URGENTLY requesting that we rectify this terrible situation immediately

you see

I am going to need a bunch of classical instruments for pet treasure chests soon. imagine my HORROR upon discovering that some symphony orchestra staples are completely missing from this site, INCLUDING MY FAVORITE TOOTER - THE BASSOON look at this thing!!! this is one of the best instruments ever invented!!!! and we DON'T have one as an item? DISGUSTING

this lead me down a rabbit hole where I checked for other orchestral instruments, and I also came to the realization that we are missing:

• contrabassoons
• piccolos
• english horns
• bass clarinets
• euphoniums
• also could use more normal flutes? we have and that's about it

and a few percussive staples:

• bass drums
• timpanis
• gongs
• marimbas

(I was only a percussionist for like five seconds once so I can't think of any others to check, but I'm certain there's other things we're missing)

but I am MOST offended by the fact that we don't have a bassoon, because it's the only full symphonic orchestra staple that isn't on the site!!! JUSTICE FOR BASSOONS!!!!

one last thing... I realize that this is a very western European-centric list of instruments, as that is what I'm familiar with. But I would LOVE to advocate for the addition of instruments from all over the world, too! subeta already has and , which are GREAT, but the erhu is part of a greater stringed instrument family, and there are many other plucked instruments needing representation too. (*my education in music was extremely western-oriented and it's been a while since I was in school, so I'm having a hard time remembering other instrument examples. :( I KNOW THEY'RE OUT THERE, THOUGH)

i'd love to see more instrument items!! i think we have a pretty fair selection but there are definitely some missing. i would also love to see more old instruments. a lot of people (like me) (i'm thinking of myself and like 2 other people but i think probably there are a lot of us? maybe?) make a lot of Ye Olde Fantasy characters, and i always struggle to find instruments that fit the Vibe. there are the lyre and pan pipes and ocarinas, but most of the other instruments just feel too modern for... 70% of my OCs haha. i think a wooden flute or two would be cool in addition to more obviously modern ones (and a bone flute could be cool??), and i'd love a lute item...

Hi! Another music nerd here!

I would really love to see a few things too.
as a harpist... More harps! There's plenty of different kinds and I'd appreciate any of them, so I'm not gonna go into specifics, but in particular, I would die for an electric harp. Not like classical, I know, but they're so cool. This thing: There's a few pretty cool looking designs for these out there. :3

Also, definitely seconding more flutes (cause I play those too lmao) some bamboo ones would be awesome, like a Dizi (side blown) or Xiao (top blown). Fun fact, Xiao flutes are also sometimes made from jade (I want one so bad ugh). :3 But also, the irish in me would be happier than a pig in crap for a fife.
