Right now if you click on a pet profile on Kumos, it'll open up in "emulation mode", examples:
This pulls in the styles and details of the old profile, and then does it's best to emulate it. This will not be perfect, but especially after we transition to new pet profiles (some day!) we'll want a way to link to and remember the legacy versions of these profiles. years of CSS built up to make them! incredible artistry and creativity.

Will we be able to "update" or "tweak" our custom CSS to make our profiles on Kumos look the same as they do on Subeta . net? And in general be able to continue to create totally custom pet and user profiles using CSS?
You'll be able to tweak the css that is on your 'legacy' profile to get it as close as possible! I'll hopefully be able to provide some tips there too.
For the new pet profiles, they'll be more like the user profiles with blocks that you can choose to add, but one of those will be a CSS block where you can design to your imaginations limits!

Oh good! I love having the ability to fully customize our user and pet profiles :D TY for answering!
I really like that we can 'emulate' the old profiles, although I'm already seeing a handful of my profiles are messed up. Oh no, haha, and a few of them are templates that I know people use. Hm...
I tried adding some CSS to Einon's profile to start seeing if I could fix his emulated profile. I wanted to see if I could tweak the 'this is an emulated profile!' bit (mostly since the link was unclickable due to my questionable CSS) and for some reason when I click the link in the 'click here to view the original' part, the link brings me to a messed-up version of his profile lol. Refreshing doesn't fix it, but selecting the URL in my browser and clicking like I'm going to a new page makes it display normally. Weird.
Just to confirm, the plan is to 100% transition to new pet profiles but leave emulation of older ones as an option, right? So we would need to have any issues with the old/emulated profiles fixed prior to everything being switched over, and we would be unable to add any extra content or anything later on? Is there much chance of the, uh, contents of the emulated profile page changing at all, or is this likely to be final? I just want to see if I can figure out how to keep my profiles from totally breaking but I'd hate to spend a bunch of time messing with that only for this to end up changing, hah.
I have always been... intrigued by the idea of new pet profiles. I find user profiles harder to work with than pet profiles but I think a lot of it is just because I don't really care about user profiles much so I haven't bothered trying to learn them very well. There are some things with pet profiles that make me a little crazy, so the idea of that potentially changing is cool. I'm curious about how many modules and that sort of thing there may be for the new pet profiles...
