Do fairies fully replace forum points in December, or is the chance to get them while posting in addition to forum points? I personally have gotten 3 fairies and 0 forum points from posting so far this month. If they do replace the points that's kinda disappointing - they're so common, while forum points are so slow to build up, that instead of "cool a bonus!" the reaction is "coo- oh." That's especially true this year because I'd love to nab a couple more anniversary cookies from the forum shop, but if points are on hiatus then RIP to that.

Anyway this is a small thing. I was back and forth on just throwing it in either the Melody or MM threads as sidenote post but I don't want to bring down the vibe in there with a minor, separate complaint (and I'm loving both those features this Lumi). But yeah I feel like the fairies are meant to be a positive, festive, fun thing, but what they actually feel like in this particular distribution system is a clog getting in the way of a better prize (even as someone still working on the achievement for releasing them)

that's pretty much what you do with them. There is an achievement tied to releasing them.

there's also an achievement for having one of every color in your inventory & a tiered one for catching them
