Pet Zapper Question

Hey friends, sorry in advance if this is answered somewhere and I'm missing it;;
I know that the regular setting on the pet Zapper can change both color and species at the same time, but my question is about the button to adopt a Yaheera.
If I were to use this button on a pet that already has a color, will it keep that color or will it become a common yaheera?
For example, if I use it on my Spectrum Dilemma Svelta, will he become a Spectrum Yaheera or a common one?
99% sure it just becomes a common yaheera at that point.
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
I'm not sure. I know there are some species (blobs come to mind) where the new pet will take on the color of the old pet (if that color exists in the new pet), others where that doesn't happen.
I would submit a ticket and ask to be sure.

it keeps the colour of the pet you've changed (well, assuming that the Yaherra has the colour available of course!)
