Problem: Questing takes an hour+ to complete. It makes a 'decent' amount of sP, but in the grand scheme of things... not really. Items on Subeta are very expensive. It takes a long time to earn 100m. Even longer to earn 1b - and CWs, plushies, beanbags, books, food, etc. cost a LOT. We have to put in a lot of work to make an eh amount of money, really. (I realize this encourages people to buy CSC.)
Potential solution: Cut the quests in half. Get rid of half the quest givers. Have the remaining givers ask for double the items, and give out double the prizes. Move their quest shop items into another character's shop.
Potential result: Quests would take half the time (~30 mins instead of an hour), would require you to purchase the same amount of items, and would give you the same amount of prizes.
(alternative: just give out more prizes so it feels more worth our time?)
*I understand this isn’t a perfect solution. But I do think Subeta staff should make dailies more fun/profitable. Even adding incentives (like Bathhouse) would help. Something!
Completely disagree. I enjoy questing; it gives my fidgety hands something to do while I watch/listen to a show or something. If you don't want to do so many quests, just don't do all the quests. As for profits, you should only get out of the site what you're willing to put into it. It only takes like an hour to make 4-5 million sP. It really doesn't need to be even easier.
I want more quests.
Hard disagree on this, sorry. I clear ~10 mil a day from questing and auto pricing, and it only takes about 30 minutes to complete them all.
I don't see how having fewer quest givers asking for more items would change much of anything. If you're buying the same number of items it'll end up taking about the same amount of time. I actually hate Maleria the most as a quest giver precisely because she asks for more items. I run into the five second timer much more frequently with her than any other quest.
“ If you don't want to do so many quests, just don't do all the quests.”
But I want the sp. Not everyone has an hour of free time for questing. I put a lot into the site, just don’t have time for something thats not very profitable.
I appreciate your view, but I know many people who dont have the time or cant be bothered to quest, and as the main way to make sp on site, I see that as a problem that goes beyond ‘oh well no sp for you then’
& 10m profit? its not my intention to be argumentative but… that is definitely not a daily average of how much you can make from quests
Well they could save us all a LOT of time by just giving us 5 million sP for logging in every day. Not everyone has half an hour to quest either. shrug Sorry I'm probably coming across kind of abrasively, I just feel one of my favorite little mindless activities being threatened by your suggestion lol. Nothing personal.
Yeah I don't know about 10 mil daily profit from quests either. I do all my quests every day and I don't think I've ever gotten anywhere near that much, but I don't pay much attention to my daily shop profits from the items received either.
You have 6,740,000,000 sP in your vault. In February, that number was 5 bil. I haven't sold anything major, or really done much of anything aside from questing. So I guess that averages out to more like 7 mil per day, not counting sp I've spent in the last 10 months.
And then there's quest points to consider.
the truth is you make about 3m/day on quests, more with morty cards & amulets, not counting Sarah
i find questing & the current amount of quests pretty great! takes (me) ~17 min (my usual pace on laptop or mobile) to do them all with about 3-4m (atm 3.2ish on avg) pure profit daily, minus bq (another 5 min) and major drills (rarely do these). 3m x 31 = 91m (this month), pretty excellent for less than 20min/day! (no sarah ofc) (i mostly frag the items i get other than books) (if you spend at all and have minimal shop profits like me outside of lumi/an adv thread selling mostly non-quest reward items, it does feel like nothing, but it's really not! lol)
"Have the remaining givers ask for double the items" asking for double the items would be a literal pain, the 3x item quests are already a slog.. but that's me and i have problems with my hands and need short breaks (accounted for in my total time).
e- they aren't the most fun thing in the world, but not a lot that earns igcurrency typically is.. fun (like i get my fun from spending what i earned haha rather than from earning it)? there's always some exert x effort and get x. imo subeta has the best and easiest, has always been my favorite. idk, change is hard, going from 30 to 15 was weird but way better in the end so what do i know. but i love not having to rely on anyone else to make 3m daily (a general comment on questing itself vs something like crafting or waiting for people to buy your restocked stuff)! idk if they were any shorter to complete, would they be able to offer at least 3m profit? idk lol (i!) just don't find the grind fun no matter how it's done - but i still love questing as is!
I am also a daily quester. I find it to be a chore but I need the funds + quest points. Quests were originally 30 quests daily and that was cut in half so I think it's fair to re-evaluate it again.
I would be thrilled to have half the quests and make a similar amount of sP. Asking for effort on site is fine but that doesn't mean it has to be boring or tedious, which is what questing is now IMO
SELL ME FOOD PLS? 🡺 CLICK HERE 🡸going forward I won’t respond to posts to avoid arguments
I encourage everyone to share their opinions, even if it disagrees with mine, so that staff can see how we feel!
Yeah I'm slightly confused by that. I find questing boring so I only do the lucrative ones (Some of Saggi's)
It's boring and a bit of a slog, I don't deny that.
One thing I will add is that I fully support the site offering multiple ways to make your income. Not into questing? That's fine, you can restock instead and make your profits that way. They really need to figure out a way to deal with the rampant undercutting fouling up the autopricer so that you'll get the fair value of items you restocked (or earned from quests, or whatever). The games also desperately need changes to payouts and some are just broken and need to be fixed. There are very few that are worth playing for profit. Several don't even give any sP or prize at all, or it's like... 2,000 sP per play. Yippee. You should be able to earn your "daily wages" here through the games too if you find the whole capitalism simulation too boring (and I agree that questing/RS'ing are boring in and of themselves, which is why I do it while mostly paying attention to something else).
10000000% agree about the autopricer undercutting
I just recently got back into questing and in two months I have cleared over 250 mill. That is roughly 4.16 mill a day. It only takes me an hour when there is lag, otherwise I clear them in edit: it took about 45 minutes (but also kids demanded attention during this time) and that is while I am getting my kids ready for the morning. Tedious? Ehhh I do them mindlessly. We have multiple ways of getting SP. Pet jobs, quests, games (a terrible way though), restocking, vending machines to sell, battling to sell loot. With questing you get quest points and tokens which lets you buy more stuff to sell. I don't think adjusting the payouts is going to make things overall less expensive.
I think costs of items are tied more to csc circulation/costs than quests. And if things are more expensive, typically csc would go up in price, making it more worthwhile to pay $ for csc.
I enjoy the current mindless questing. It works well with listening to my morning podcasts.
I would like the undercutting autopricer fixed. I said my thoughts on that in other threads.
I don't mind the quest system as it is. Personally, I find it convenient to earn a good chunk of sP through it, and its "effortful" aspect makes it kind of rewarding in my opinion. My way of making those tasks more enjoyable is to challenge myself to finish them as quickly as possible, I found myself appreciate them more while listening to music. My only "barrier" is the 5-second delay when you buy asked items from the Main Shops though. I think that if it was (even slightly) decreased it'd give a smoother, funnier experience but I guess it's the way it is for a reason, restocking/hoarding abuse perhaps? shrugs
I don't mind but there are days that I find it to be a bore... but that issue falls on me and not the quests themselves.
Personally I like seeing how much sp I can make and if I can get any WL goodies.
Now.... if only they'd be able to fix the Weekend Quests.....
I don't mind how quests currently are. Even when I have a gold account, I can zoom through them pretty quick. After years of questing, it's kind of just a muscle memory thing at this point.
I have a love/hate relationship with quests. I hate doing them every day, but I love getting QP, wiz tokens, mage amulets and morty cards. I think those are the incentives for questing. And whatever sp from the quests and selling the items.
I’ve seen a lot of iterations of questing and I think this one is by far the best. Maleria’s quests are my least favorite because she can ask for three items, so if they switched back to a model where they were all asking for three items, I’d probably bring myself to the forums for a strongly worded complaint/request/beg to change it back.
