This is a free online game and SP is the main in-game currency. It would be impractical and unwise to try turning it into a cryptocurrency.

Also, cryptocurrencies have a negative impact on the environment due to how so much energy is used to mine a single coin. Even if it were possible, I would hate to see subeta even try to get in on that and wind up causing further damage to our environment.

That...would actually be an interesting idea, especially to revitalize the site, but it's so easy to make sP, it wouldn't be worth it. If one ETH is like 3000$, what would one sP be? 0.0005? Would 500m be worth 5$?

The crypto market is heavily saturated, with too much supply and not enough demand. SP is gonna remain worthless, due to the lack of interest - if Doge can't hit 1$, I doubt SP will go anywhere

No support. I can't see subeta ever doing this. We have denied even attempting to put an official ratio on CSC to Sp.

Yeah, no, this would not work. Subeta uses an in-game only currency in the form of sp, but that's regulated to subeta itself only. I think you get into a horrible grey area and just hard to regulate area in general when an attempt is made to then take that virtual currency and make it into an assignable real value virtual currency, as would be the case with something like making sp into a form of cryptocurrency.

Secondly, there's the point that made in that subeta officially has explicitly shied away from assigning a real life exchange rate between CSC( purchased via RLC) and subeta's in-game only currency, sp. Assigning a real value to sp negates the reasoning behind the site choosing not to endorse an official exchange rate between csc and sp.

I find this suggestion hilarious.

From what I understand most cryptos are "mined" somehow.. so how would that even work in conjunction with Subeta. Maybe for OP they'd prefer if it Subeta accepted cryptos as payment for CSC???

No but I can't see this happening at all. We would have to wipe out the entire sP system and either convert current amount OR erase them (waiting for the pitchforks ahem).

I'm against it because a majority of Subeta have no idea what is 'mining for crypto' and it wouldn't encourage the userbase to stay and would bring Subeta to its doom.
