Hi, I am Danie and I am wondering what everyone's favorite podcasts are!
I really love Harry Potter, so one of my favorite podcasts is the Mischief Managed podcast.
Any recommendations are welcome though! 💗

I like to listen to Ear Biscuits, it's a pod cast done by Rhett and Link from the youtube channel Good mythical morning.
I love those guys, they always make me laugh.
Harry potter though, absolutely love the series. Forever a Slytherin.

Thank you so much for your recommendation! I will check it out.
Good to meet a fellow Potterhead too!

If you like D&D the Dungeons and Daddies podcast is hilarious. It's about four dads getting transported into the magical D&D realms and getting separated from their sons. They then have to try to find their lost children and bring them back home. They play by the D&D rules very loosely and mostly just make a bunch of amusing jokes and have comedic conversations with NPCs and each other. Even though the players are all dads, one of them is played by a woman, so there's a little bit of female representation too, which really adds to the whole affair.

My favorite podcasts are Distorted View, Welcome to Nightvale, and TEDTalk
My friend recently started a podcast about being a Jewish woman and a queer person living in South Florida. She's learning how to edit audio and I've seen immense improvement in the THREE episodes she's put up already. It's really great watching her come out of her shell. She was a role model to me in college and I'm glad more people get to experience her.
I even made her an icon:

The Magnus Archives, by far! It's an amazing horror podcast about an institute that takes statements from folks on the street about their paranormal experiences, and with the mysterious death of the previous archivist of the Magnus Institute, it's up to Jonathan Sims to organize the archives and take statements. It starts out just seeming like a horror anthology, each episode consisting of a statement and additional comments from Jon (and later some actual Plot) but each statement has some detail or another that all connects to a far greater horror than anyone realizes.
Sorry for rambling lol, I found it back in February and have been entirely hooked since. It's currently halfway through its fifth and final season and I can't remember the last time I've been this excited over a piece of media! (My active pet, Ceaseless Watcher, is a reference to the podcast btw. :D)
In general my favorite is probably Cold Case Files. Lately I have been listening to a lot of F**kFace, Red Web (both from Rooster Teeth), and You Can Sit With Us (the Try Wives)
Following because I am in need of podcasts to try out! I am trying to make healthy bed time habits and screen time MUST go. :)
So this one isn't a typical podcast. It isn't commentary or a discussion. Probably closer to an audiobook. You can find it on Spotify and its called The Two Princes and according to the Wikipedia page, it is a "scripted fantasy action adventure podcast".
The voice acting is phenomenal and I really got into the story line. Each episode is about 20 minutes long and I think there are two seasons. Great to listen to when walking the dog or jogging.
I second Ear Biscuits! Rhett and Link are amazing. ❤
I also second The Last Podcast on the Left. :)
I love listening to Ologies, This Podcast Will Kill You, and Defunctland.
I'm always in the market for paranormal/cryptozoology/witchcraft podcasts, so if y'all have any recs, I'd love to hear them!
I love stuff made by the Vlogbrothers:
Scishow Tangents Dear Hank and John The Anthropocene Reviewed Holy Fucking Science (discontinued)
I also loved League of Nerds but they quit making episodes a long time ago.
Glad I stumbled upon this thread, there's some interesting sounding stuff on here. I might try listening to some of these!
I'm usually interested in long-form documentary style podcasts, as well as medical and legal stuff, so here are some of my favs :^)
Documentaries: -Dr. Death - A look at a dangerous neurosurgeon harming patients in botched operations, and a further look into how the medical system can fail to hold harmful providers to account. -American Scandal - There are a lot of in-depth stories told here, but the one that hooked me is the harrowing tale of how the Hare Krishnas turned murderous. If you ever wanted to find out what happened at Enron, learn more about Big Tobacco, or a whole bevy of other historical events, this one's for you! -The Dream - Learn about the rise, propagation, and many, many downsides of MLMs in the first season, and the wild wild west of wellness in the second. Did you know it's almost impossible for the FDA to regulate the supplement industry, so they could feasibly just put whatever in there? Yeah! Woof! -Cold - TWs galore. It's true crime (like me, you may have seen the Dateline on this case already), it's nearly 20 hours, and it's grim as all hell. It's a nauseating look into an awful family. I'll warn you, there isn't a happy ending.
Regular Podcasts: -This Podcast Will Kill You - Do you like diseases? Cool! Here are two doctors talking about all sorts of plagues, poxes, and conditions galore. The prion episode is a personal fave. -ALAB - Hey, we all want to know what on earth is up with the Omegaverse suit. -Oh No! Ross and Carrie - If you listen to any investigation, listen to the Rythmia one. It's got everything: gross negligence, legal threats, and psychedelic drugs. They actually got a SLAPP suit over it, which was promptly struck down. They've also done some incredible reporting on Science Tology and other groups. -Reply All - Well-done stories on just about everything. Country Of Liars, Candidate One, and, of course, The Case Of The Missing Hit are standouts. -My Brother, My Brother, and Me - ghost horse. ghost horse. there's no way to beat ghost horse. he flies through the air, of course. ghost horse. ghost horse
You're Wrong About- they go into detail behind scandals and tell the stories the media didn't speak up about.
Pod Ledom- an America's Next Top Model recap podcast. Even if you're not an ANTM fan it is addicting.
American History Tellers- A really good podcast that almost teleports you to historical events and it feels like you're really there!
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
Hello Internet is hands down my favourite podcast of all time. I don't know how to describe it except that it's witty, funny, and makes you think about things you ordinarily wouldn't think about.
I also like Unmade, which is a podcast where the hosts try to come up with ideas for a podcast. Their conversations are really entertaining to listen to.
Welcome to Nightvale is also a good one.
